Does the Hospital know what they are in for? I picture some old girl volunteer from the local WI manning the sale.

If anyone wants to meet at the hospital early for a fight we could probably get a bed each and left in the corridor. Just pin a note to your top to make it clear you're queuing.

Top queuing tip. Wheelchair. Possibly also a bedpan.

Howabout bringing your 'art-loving extended family' in wheelchairs, complete with black eyes and colostomy bags?

Or, wear one of those hospital gowns with your backside hanging out and have a IV drip on a stand next to you. That way your not likely to get hit and people may even let you queue jump. Just watch where you swipe your card.
or paint on some pustules and keep coughing.

If anyone is thinking of doing this, then you need to make sure you have a good supply of imported 'Lucky Strikes', otherwise you lose all integrity.

Should an under 9 be smoking lucky strikes?

I wonder if there's an iPhone app to monitor the length of the queue in real-time, to spot the best moment to wander over and join the fun?

I understand that there might be a few PP's to cover the cost of the edition only.
Over on the Death Star, people are advertising their desire for this print by incentivising flippers. To me that's unbelievable, that anyone would buy this print where the artists intent is that the proceeds go towards developing and maintaining an art suite for people with brain injuries and look to profit from that? I mean just fucking unbelievable, that level of lack of self awareness is something that I simply can't compute.

But I can also see a point of view that says that Stik is looking for 500 x £500 for his chosen charity and, to raise it, he's selling his work. Who buys it and what they do with it is kind of irrelevant. If someone is prepared to queue and spend £500 then the artist's goal has been achieved. If he felt he could raise more for the charity, he could have priced them higher. Also, those 'flippers' might well use the money to supplement a meagre income or wage… they might give generously to other charities… who knows… it's a hard call to make, I think, and it's a very emotive cause. Don't get me wrong… I hear you. But a lot of people want the print on their walls and can only get it by paying someone to queue for them. What else is there to do in that case other than to offer to pay someone to take their place in the queue?

Day 9..
Sad times in the queue yesterday afternoon, 3 out us 6 here got washed away down Chatsworth Rd never to be seen again. It's becoming a test of human endurance now but this pretty piece of paper for 500 notes will be mine though. Still, that's 3 less people now so the other 97 hopeful's must feel better about this tragic loss of life in theory.
Russell who is queueing behind me and joined late last week doesn't even know why he's in the queue but he won't walk away now, not after coming this far. I admire Russell's resilience and candid knack of being able to renegotiate the price of our fried chicken dinners we've become accustomed to here in Homerton.
Not long to go now, the end is in sight.

Not long to go now, the end is in sight. Just flicked through channels and pored over the papers, no one is talking about this….i don't get it really. THe world needs to know about what is going on there. But no it's just " thousands of migrants migrants this" and "migrants that", when just down the road from us 3 people lost their lives to secure a colored piece of paper with a stick figure on it…sickening really, I mean it's time to get our priorities straight Hang in there man

An interesting debate, I don't have any issue with the people paying a premium because they want the art on the wall, my issue is with the people who facilitate that.
Notmattl's post in bang on, perhaps it's time for a spot of joined up altruism where the release is for the benefit of charity. Where the mandate is purely commercial from the artists perspective on release then I don't care about people turning stuff around, there's few on this board who haven't done that over time at least.
I recall that Conor Harrington was hugely fucked off that his charity prints were flipped, I'd adopt the same position. Looking forward to the next release though, that's one I must have, straight in my basket.

Top 100 bids received gets a print they want and the price they are willing to pay. Stops any of the flipping that way.

Perhaps you've missed it but Stik has just released a best selling book and I doubt that many of the buyers will have heard of this forum or the other side. But, there is plenty of real toss churned out at premium prices out there. So just buy what you like.

I totally agree with letiss,I know many people who know stiks work who are not on either forum and who are not massive art collectors, they follow his works on various social networks,so I'm sure there will be a mass of people genuinely interested in buying this print to keep and frame. This includes myself
