The fire is very well done.
Yes the message on an elementary school wall does not look as Banksy ' s mind...
The signature is on the left a looks childish ( because kids ? )
On Facebook a Bristol mate told this : "'The children in Yr 6 at my friend's Son's school did some graffiti style work on a wall at Bridge Farm and sent it to Banksy's PR people.When they returned to school today, they saw his response..... "
But is it true?

if not real, think it's a very nice copy (homage?). Banksy hasn't signed his outdoor pieces in years... unless it's not a tag and more part of the school theme. like it either way. the fire looks great especially... better by far than any of his recent pieces, real or not edit: after reading the article I'm leaning towards legit but still not 100% convinced yet.... the handwriting on the letter looks familiar but that last sentence is overly on-point and been used before  |

Here's a few photos for anyone that's interested. The tyre is stenciled and the flames and smoke are freehand; the two work seamlessly together. I think it's probably the first street piece in a while that he's signed too.   The piece references one of Martha Cooper's ' Street Play' photos that she took in Alphabet City of the late 1970, thus returning the compliment that Martha paid when she included a Banksy piece in her ' Ghetto For Life' photo. A stickman was also included on a piece on Bridewell Police Station back in 2000 (which at the time was the main police station in Bristol); unfortunately, I can only find this badly faded photo on my hard-drive but you can see the stickman on the right (the stencil on the left is by Arse, not Banksy; Banksy's stencil of two cops had been buffed by this point):  And to allay anyone's concerns, no children have become arsonists since coming to school this morning  |

Nice to think it will probably be staying there untouched for quite a while. Certainly not an easy one to remove or tag over.
I do reckon he had permission beforehand though, which is why it's probably signed.

Love it!!! Very simple but very beautiful too! Looks like an old school Banksy from Fed's thread The flames are stunning! In fact every single line is awesome! Much better than the les misarables tear gas piece in London in my opinion! Would be a great print! Just kidding  Guess he knew that most of the Banksy forum dudes are at the art yard sale in Brighton so he could paint that in Bristol during the sunny Sunday while having some beers and a lot of fun |
