So, I found out the other week that 'Anna Kissed' placed 3rd overall at the open art comp which I was made up with. There were 250 entries so to come out third for my first stab at a comp came as a bit of a shocker. My next work on display is a series called 'Inked'. These were digital as opposed to painted. They'll be in 'The Beauty Of' postcard exhibition starting later this month at Yellow Door Artists new art space in St Helens. The postcards from all artists exhibiting will be on sale and all proceeds going to CRY (Cardiac Risk in Young).

This is brilliant and it paid off on the bass too. Did you do any where Ursus sat at the bottom? Agree with Aza that it'd remove that cut off look, but the fact it was out there on the bass for thousands to see is win.
Nice work.

Thank you very much Funny you should say that about the Iron Man, I've been acquiring retro comics of the different avengers so he may be one of the next ones I attempt!

Managed to cut the final layer today. 32 hours cutting in total. My brain hurts. Painting tomorrow Absolutely insane. I follow you and a guy named Lee Henderson on Instagram and the pair of you have immense amounts of patience for these detailed stencils. Totally pays off too. Hats off dude.

Hi all, New to the forum. I've dabbled on and off for the last couple of years, but really started taking things a bit more seriously this year so thought I'd share some of my more recent work. #YOLO is 1.5mx1m canvas and has just finished its run in the Bigger Picture exhibition at the World of Glass in St Helens. 'Maelstrom' is 4ftx3ft on reclaimed plywood and been selected for an exhibition at the Millenium Academy of Art in St Helens. 'Anna Kissed' is a 36inx28in canvas and I've entered this into the Godfrey Pilkington/World of Glass open art exhibition. As I'm a bit of a geek I've done a pieces based on comic book characters too. 'From The Chaos' a Batman piece again on 4x3 plywood. 'Hulk Rip' which is a 1.5mx1m canvas covered in vintage marvel comics overlayed with the hulk stencil. Sorry for the overload. Would be great to get your thoughts!

Hey all, Long time lurker here, like Lionel Ritchie in the Hello video. Finally signed up. Aspiring artist up in NW England soon to be on the move darn sarf. I'm mainly using stencils, but do dabble with digital stuff too. Also part of a small collective of artists called We Art The Response which kind of jockeys off the back of the Free Art Friday movement to respond to local news/issues in the town where we live through the art we create. Looking forward to getting involved on here and seeing more of the awesome work that regularly gets posted. Cheers
