If you’re a fan of graffiti and street art, you’ve almost certainly heard of Banksy – and even if you haven’t, you’ve seen his work whether you realized it or not. The British street artist is famous for his distinctive stenciled graffiti and satirical social and political commentary, which he has left on walls and other surfaces everywhere from New York to Palestine’s West Bank. He has been called both a genius and a vandal, and has created installations, books, films, and countless pieces of street art while still keeping his (or her?) identity a secret. Having made his pseudonymous mark in so many other forms of media, it’s no surprise that his work has now made it into 3D printing. Render3Dart is a Chicago-based startup created by three art enthusiasts who asked the question: when it comes to displaying art within the home, why should your walls get to have all the fun? So they decided to start a company for the purpose of creating 3D printed renderings of famous pieces of art. Billing the company as “a never before seen fusion of art and technology,” Render3Dart promises that your coffee tables, desks, and TV stands will soon feel included as venues for displaying masterpieces. Render3Dart is where art and technology are fused together to form amazing 3D renderings of 2D art! This innovative idea came from years of working various roles within the art community and identifying demand for this new dimension of art. Though our dream was not possible until recent 3D-printing technology gave us the ability to make owning one of these beautiful figurines affordable to everyone while still meeting our high standard for product quality. With the success of our Kickstarter campaign we hope to bring to life many more 3D renderings of 2D art, so we can do our part to push the boundaries of possibility in the art world! What better artist than Banksy, a man who made a name for himself by taking thought provoking art into places where it “should not be”, to represent us as our first featured artist.

I just don't get it? There are at least 100 more interesting Banksy things that you could make before you decide to 3D print his characters. I mean, I'm all for embracing new technology and ripping off another person's work, but I just don't see anything that amusing or interesting in these.
And for that reason, I'm out.
Edit:
1) Banksy: The Board Game (Move your spray can, rat, monkey or bomb hugger piece around the board, playing classic Banksy graffiti cards at various locations, all while trying to avoid the filth and other players) 2) Banksy: The recipe book (Become Bakesy and cook your way to one of many culinary recreations of some of Banksy's most famous works) 3) Banksy: Spray Tan (Make the buff more attractive with one of four different tones of fake sunburn, packaged in an authentic Banksy spray can) 4) Banksy: Painting by numbers (You paint. By numbers) 5) Banksy: Spray Pants (Worried about unsightly skidmarks? Each pair of Banksy Spray Pants comes complete with its own can of paint, corresponding with the pant's colour. Simply spray the pants to give yourself another few days of wearing time) 6) Banksy: The Fragrance (Subversion, for men) 7) Banksy: The iPhone Bomb Hugger Docking Station (It hugs your iPhone while charging it) 8) Bonksy: The Bum Hugger (The Banksy-inspired Vibrator and holder) 9) Banksy: The Album (Music inspired by some of Banksy's most iconic works. The ultimate soundtrack for while you're out jogging or running from hoodies or the cops) 10) Banksy: The iPhone Monkey Docking Station (Laugh now, but one day you'll be in charge) 11) Banksy: Snowglobes 12) Banksy: The colouring book 13) Banksy: Kites (Now it won't just be Banksy prices that are sky high) 14) Banksy: Spray Candy (Collectible miniature spray can containers, filled with sweet Banksy-inspired shapes) 15) Banksy: The Money Banksy (Ceramic Money Bank)
101) Banksy: 3D Printed Figures
