I find it odd that some people refuse to buy it because it's not limited enough. People moan all the time when they aren't able to buy a nice image by their chosen artist. Would it be better if it was $10 and a large edition? There's no getting away from the feeling that for some people, art is about one-upmanship.

Changing the subject slightly, does anyone know which artist or print house started the trend of holding the print up in front of your face? It's more widespread than beards these days.

First started seeing it on design blogs/websites about 10 years ago – mostly from SF and Brooklyn. Probably about the same time as unicycles became a popular mode of transport for hipsters...

Hey Doc, I'm not the one to correct you (respectively your assumption re: the frequency of beards) but how can you tell for sure that those models (female/male) holding the prints up don't have whiskers.

Anyway this print , even unlimited was at more than 120 $ and not 10. I like it ( even if I am not too much Faie, playing with vintage pics ) , but I wonder who really - I would do , I like eclecticism - will put it in their saloon : a bit flashy and fluorescent innit ? -) This Alsatian dog will reappear Evety 3 years, I guess.

BTW - the UV strip lights can be bought from China for about a tenner for 5m, including adaptor. Try Alibaba.

No. I've used to t for years. Aliexpress is the one for single purchases. You use PayPal, so no dramas. I have some of (warm white) on route. I paid £4 for it. Saw the same kit in town today for £60.

I found this UV set tinyurl.com/q8xutxc $24/£16 approx inc. shipping. Still Hate Thatcher did you get your set specifically for the Faile Dog Print or something else? Just asking because if you are using warm white with the print it's not gonna give the desired effect. I'm pretty sure you need the UV/Black Light version. Although I could be wrong, but hope I'm not as I just splashed the cash on the UV ones I listed above. Another site like aliexpress is www.dhgate.com ordered stuff from here 3 times now with no issues.

don't have a proper blacklight yet but this'll do for now Looking good, is if numbered? nope but quality is real nice - as good as many of the automatic press screen prints that seem to be popular these days. smaller than I thought it would be (a good thing for me). very happy with it
