Sweet Toof x Stik, give those stik guys some teef!
On a serious note, I reckon that more often than not collabs just don't work and artists are better off just doing their own thing. The exceptions to this rule are Os Gemeos, Faile and Gilbert & George.

Must say I quite like collabs as a nice tweak between two artists that you like or in some cases likeSchooney where the other artist brings the edge to the piece He he love the idea of Stik & Sweet Toof Think Gilbert & George etc are different though as they are a partnership as opposed to a collaboration where as Banksy & Os Gem was a collab. I have a couple Love this Mighty Mo and SweetToof http://instagram.com/p/3O-04Uv1UK This one by Beejoir & Mau Mau which is kinda a test piece really for a bigger piece they did together http://instagram.com/p/8tFVGuv1an This one is an edited pic of the Schooney Boy Soldier piece with him and Snug http://instagram.com/p/85fM_qv1WX Also have this by Kaws and the Chinese artist Ju Minjun http://instagram.com/p/1Xlo5Xv1WC So do like them as a concept for me think it's nice too see

I had a second thought after the morning coffee. A collab by Mr. Jago and Remi Rough could result in some nice abstract pieces. Or you could also exchange any of them for Conor Harrington to add some figurative elements.

Think it would also be quite interesting to see Adam Neate with people incorporating his dimensionalism with their work especially with someone like Connor Harrington or Maya Hayuk think it could work really well

Am I alone in loathing collaborations in art? Nope, see my comments above. Even more so if it's an artwork produced for sale rather than a street piece. How many collaborations ever make their way to credible auctions? Not many I'd say.

Am I alone in loathing collaborations in art? Hit or miss for me. loved the Banksy x Hirst but thought the Banksy x OG was pretty underwhelming.... too often they feel forced and suffer from the artists trying too hard to maintain their signature style, rather than giving in to the collaboration and trying to mesh their skills into a newer, unique style

*I* would like to see a Phlegm and SegoYObval... Or Pistola and SegoYObval... I do really like Banksy's collab with seen... And do enjoy Osgemeos/Banksy collab... But that is just me.
Carry on.

Am I alone in loathing collaborations in art? yeah some are really bad, I doubt I would ever buy any, although I think it works okay with 2 decent abstract artists. I think I remember Kofie doing canvases with someone else and it worked well..

I think most of what Hirst produces these days is a collaboration. He tosses ideas at hired artists, who execute them. The same for Koons, and many other contemporary artists. Hell, even Banksy in some cases.

Sure some of the print floggers encourage it but I would say in general they are done pretty quick and off the cuff as opposed to any great plan. Hence think that's why your dig style point happens......I think!!!!

For contemporary art, I think some of the greatest collaborations are between the artists and the people that write the little descriptions explaining what the art is about.
