Dismaland art installation to launch UK tour at Bruton Art FactoryA popular art installation which featured at Banksy's Dismaland last year will kick-off a nationwide tour in Bruton this week. The Aftermath Dislocation Principle (ADP) is a post-riot landscape created in a fictitious miniature town by acclaimed artist Jimmy Cauty. Mr Cauty is the co-creator of chart-topping band The KLF and its subsequent, million pound-burning arts incarnation The K Foundation. His immersive and surreal artwork will be housed within a specially adapted 40ft shipping container at Bruton Art Factory before embarking on its tour of the UK. The gallery's Suzanne Bisset, who has known Mr Cauty for 23 years, said he was Banksy's favourite artist at Dismaland last year and that his installation would be a thought-provoking experience for the people of Bruton. She said: "It's fantastic to be host to the UK launch of the ADP Riot Tour. Jimmy could have launched this at the National Gallery but instead he's visiting places close to where riots have happened throughout the country. "We've got people coming from all over the country and it's great for people who didn't manage to make it into Dismaland." Bruton's leg of the riot tour is inspired by the Yeovil Glove Riots of 1831. Suzanne said it was completely free for local people to come along and see the artwork, which launches with a preview on Saturday (April 23) at 3pm. She said: "We always have an open door policy at the gallery. Anyone can come to our events, there's no exclusive guest list." Due to the expected popularity of Saturday's event people wishing to attend will need to pick up an invitation in person from the gallery in advance of the launch. The launch on Saturday will include ten DJs playing a 23 minute set each. The ADP Riot Tour will be in Bruton until April 28, before moving onto the Trinity Centre in Bristol on April 29. The tour will finish on Christmas Day in Bedford. www.westerngazette.co.uk/Dismaland-art-installation-launch-UK-tour-Bruton/story-29138743-detail/story.html

I'm very excited to see this. Am I right in my understanding that viewing will be through peepholes in the side of the container?
