Mike Egan's current exhibition Live Fast Die Faster is showing at Gauntlet Gallery in SF until Halloween.... Whilst it's not street art, hopefully some members here will find it interesting. Some great original artwork is available at affordable prices.
Gauntlet Gallery is proud to present Live Fast, Die Faster, an all-new solo exhibition by Mike Egan (curated by Sven Davis) in the Gauntlet Gallery 1 space.
Mike Egan is a Pittsburgh-based artist whose consistent subject matter celebrates both life and death; and the many narratives that fall somewhere between. Using confident strokes of heavily layered acrylic paint, shellac, wood and nails, Egan composes rich narrative within his work to tell stories of hope and despair, the living and the dying, and the ones left behind. Often using anecdotal text and a heavy dose of symbolism within his cryptic paintings, Egan presents a highly personal insight to love and loss in a unique warm & colorful folk art style.
The exhibition features 42 new paintings and a series of painted miniature coffins as well as a mural installation by the artist.

thanks for the pics. not familiar with the artists, but gotta say, wow. really enjoy his work. primative (in a good way), funny, and a great color scheme. very appropriate for this time of year
I like his expression, and the fact that he's stayed true to his aesthetic since he started painting. This is the second solo show i've curated with him. One of the hardest working artists i know, and a true pro. Glad to see some appreciation here for his work. i'm a particular fan of the coffins - they are such great value too.
