link . . . 'Some of the evidence is wrong' 'Organised Jewry' He needs to start being incredibly specific rather than making such odd sweeping statements without reference to any source materials - particularly considering this piece had a loose agenda of 'exonerating' his views.

Fuck me... yeah I know , I am friend with him on Facebook ! And I can read " his comments " if we can call that like this, with other weird mates to him- not mines. In fact, 3 years ago , I did not know who he eas, and I bought a signed catalog and he sent me some signed cards with words and we became friends on Favebook ( maybe we are not anymore ) This man is mad and looks very sad and lonely. But I don't care I am from the anarchy side and when I understood his comments , waking it was an enormous and bad surprise. I forget every day to delete him, anyway I have never deleted anybody. Yes, as you, i was very surprised to see him at Stolen Space ! Incredible !

I want to comment, but I am still trying to swallow the bile that rose to my mouth
FFS this just very poor judgement or the gallery trying to make a statement of some kind ?
The discussion of extremists and art / use of art is an fascinating one that deserves to be pondered, but not in a street art gallery.

krafft is a bit of a rascal to say the least.
I would suggest that StolenSpace are not the steely jawed shock troops of the 4th reich here, but maybe a bit naive ?

Why street-art media as Vandalog , Street-art news, art magazines or journalists don't denounce that ? ! I thought that Kraft was American , KKK style , why an English gallery who helped Stik at the beginning needs to promote and to make interest with this poor guy ? They were lovely before, I thought that they were on the left side... May we have to makes petition? Do Anonymous, anarchists and black blocks know about that ?

All of the members of this forum who, like me, are a bit angry that StolenSpace would legitimate Krafft's art should message the gallery and state your opinions in the strongest possible terms. Posting here is a bit like singing to the choir. But if collectors who actually appreciate and buy art threaten to pull their future support from the gallery, it is a better use of our time.

It seems he already had a show there in march 2010... That was before he was outed for his views. In 2010 his work was considered 'subversive'. Now it should be ignored, not celebrated unless you're into white power and race hate. There is no way in the world that the gallery are not aware of his views. He's been denounced globally in the last couple of years. I thought it was pretty sickening that there was a piece by him in the show that Thinkspace curated there earlier this year.

I totally agree with you. Has Stolen Space a profile on this forum?

I have emailed yesterday and contacted them through Facebook. Be interesting to see the reply. It'll either be ignored or excused in the name of 'art'. Which is balls. They've sold his pieces for years which was fine because, as Sven said, it was considered ironic and subversive and a criticism of racism. Now it is, quite simply, a celebration of those ideas, a fifth column that has been making its way into people's homes for too many years.
Vile....

I was knocking about when Stolen Space opened in the Truman Brewery area and in one of their very first group shows they were selling some Charles Kraft china pistols, some "bone" chine soap and a few grenades. Aesthetically the work is beautiful but I don't think it was common knowledge that the artist held these beliefs back then. At least I had never heard anyone close to the work ever say as much, in fact yes as Still Hate Thatcher quite rightly pointed out "it was considered ironic and subversive and a criticism of racism". I remember it being sold as that. Spoken of by the gallery in that way. I suppose they became his gallery in the UK by default. This was way back in about 2005/6. It's about ten years ago...

i can not think of an reason, asthetic or otherwise, where I would want anything with weaponry or hitler gracing my humble abode. he is flogging plates about prison life c/w the krays at SS now. I mean, irrespective of the leanings of the artist, who the fuck would want these ?
