Would love to go along and see this show. I went to the William Morris and Andy Warhol show here last year on one of the first few days and it was packed out, so will hopefully go later on this time. Always sends shivers down my spine when I walk into the gallery and see his stuff.

I went to the 'POP' exhibition in Sydney last xmas, great works, mostly Warhol and a few others. They were so strict with not taking pictures here are a few quick ones I did take.. Somehow I always thought this was by Roy Lichtenstein.

>>>>it is... unless Warhol used the same image?<<< Definitely Lichtenstein. They both painted comic book characters in '61. The superman and nancy below are warhol as he's transitioning from commercial shoe guy to fine artist but given how much better Roy was at comics, Warhol pivoted to soup. There were a good 5 or 6 of the early pop artists who stood the test of time painting comics back then (wesselmann, thiebaud, ramos, rosenquist, etc even Goings who was never pop and instead photorealist). Thanks for the photos, I'll take the double guns, triple elvis and camo fright wig please.

Went to the Hamburger Bahnhof museum in Berlin at the end of September. Here are a couple of pics of the Warhol pieces that were on show. The staff had no qualms about me taking pictures. Self Portrait... Diamond Dust Shoes... Knives... Big Electric Chair... 10 Foot Flowers...

That Mickey Mouse comic, by Mr. L, was the catalyst that made me want to be an artist... Ha! If that was art, I could make art.
I would say that Andy was greater than the sum of his art... The portraits that I saw in Krakow were magnificent; and I have been lucky enough to view many of his phases. The only adventurous area I do NOT like of Andy is his films... He was WAY out of his realm, IMO.
Carry on.

Here are a couple more; Double Elvis... Fate Presto... Some familiar cows with earlier works... There was also a room full (about 100 drawings) of early drawings of shoes.
