Banksy will be the elephant in the room. Even if he's not there, his presence will linger in the air, making the cheese and champagne taste funny.
Sure sounds like a great show though. Look at all those names.

If I was an artist, I'd name myself 1Kev.... just to be the first name on the list. 3D would probably be pretty miffed.

For all their perceived faults, I think referring to money in this thread is a little unfair to the Laz lot. Sure, they've made money but they've risked money on any number of artists and, I suspect, lost money on a fair few. They've taken chances and, as I do not live I that London, they have made a great deal of great art accessible to me, when they had the gallery in the north east.
I suspect this will be rather brilliant and am, well jel, to use the vernacular, of those who will attend.

To me this is about celebrating and admiring all the artists who've come up with and around Laz. Looking forward to seeing what they have in store

Yeah, strange to see pins and bast dropping out of the lineup. 'Lazarides will also be releasing a limited edition box set including editioned works by a unique selection of its favourite artists. Available to buy March 2016' I presume Banksy is a favourite of Laz, so I will be looking forward to buying my box set of prints

curious what's going on here? "the gallery has invited back those artists who have helped shape the gallery's legacy to take over their flagship space". doesn't seem to make sense that Banksy would agree to work with Laz, especially considering he's also putting on the Istanbul exhibit, selling "20 million pounds" worth of Banksys. www.dailysabah.com/events/2016/01/09/offbeat-street-artist-banksys-work-featured-at-istanbul-exhibitionand now PINS and Bast dropping out. maybe "invited" doesn't meant "accepted the invite" ? and this isn't a knock against Laz... love their gallery and how they represent their "outsiders". just curious what's going to happen. looking forward to seeing pictures from the show
