Bäst, Paul Insect, and Rostarr have recently collaborated with a new fashion label, Cocurata, on their inaugural collection. Bringing an urban sensibility to the design, the new line entitled Extraction is a nice start to the company, founded by George Gorrow and George Benias. Their idea was to arrange a “direct exchange between artist and artisan – a street artist working with a jeweler, a sculptor collaborating with a perfumer or a painter creating bespoke, ready to wear pieces – that would result in artwork and collections that could stand alone in a gallery and boutique alike. It would be art curating fashion. Not the other way around.”
