Not sure if this is easy to do? Have a feeling a new forum would need setting up? Saying that, sɐǝpı ɟo uoıʇɐɹǝpǝɟ has managed to get a .com address which in effect masks the proboards sub domain so might be possible to buy another top level domain name which links to here without seeing the "notbanksy" bit? elvis is it possible to change the display name whilst keeping the sub domain name, if so, the above would work without everyone having to move. Edit: would be happy to pay for the domain too rather than fed having to fork out again |

I would wait until you get a cease and desist before changing anything. Even then, I would help pitch to consult a lawyer to see if they have a leg to stand on in the eyes of the law.

To elaborate further, the "other forum" is not officially called "Banksy Forum", it's "Urban Art Association", so I can't really see any potential issue, other than a similar proboards address, which I am sure is quite common with forums that have a similar focus.

Hi all, I heard a 99.9% sure rumor that this was not the banksy forum so decided to have a gander. The mood across the street is really not to my liking despite me being new to the party compared to most of you. Anyways, that's me saying I am glad to have found this place. The cumulative knowledge of art here is quite impressive, but fear not, i have joined to restore the balance  Kudos to the impressive job done to set this place up. If what started as a little joke, is meant to stay a "refuge" for people who aren't comfortable with the way the other pub is run, or have been kicked out of said pub, then the name doesn't much matter But if at some point this is to become a place that welcomes people who enjoy reading / posting about art, with a "code of conduct" or a "tone" or whatever that sets it apart from other such forums, then a decent name might be in order some day But i guess at this stage it doesn't really matter, let's all contribute to put some meat on the bone, and have a laugh without getting wacked on the head |

A bit of deja vu saying hello to you all again; nice spot you all have here, thx for the invite. I truly hope the 3rd time is the charm (Wallkandy, thebanksyforum and now this.). Like a geyser going off on schedule that the ineptitude elsewhere boils to a head and drives everyone off en masse every 4th year. The street art Olympics is you will.
