Welcome to our recently new members You may wonder why your avatar is showing as a proud looking donkey? its quite hard to explain, but it's partly democracy and partly um, I think IggyWiggy can best explain. so, welcome, enjoy the donkey, the art and the other stuff too - great to see you here

Hi, Hope it's all nice and friendly over here, just want to say i'm looking forward to having a nose around and getting to know a few new faces (and looks like a few i've seen before somewhere....) lol.
Hope that wont get be banned, peace out.
Will look forward to reading through some of the threads in the coming days. Have changed my name for now, as I want to lose all the crap that got in my hair form those stinky rude bouncers, I mean guardians from the shite side of town.
Have fun. N

Hi guys! Just signed up so wanted to say hi. I've come over to 'this side' as I've heard good things about the forum. Anyway... I'm a pretty small-time collector and dabble in sales once in a while but I enjoy all aspects of street art. I'm from London and pretty damn happy that I've got my grubby mitts on my first ever Banksy!

Hi everyone, I'm happy to see my account was approved. I'll try to contribute somewhat regularly... (but my track record isn't so great: I joined UAA in 2008, yet have a sum total of 7 posts over there!)
I don't collect for investment at all and never will, so when it comes to valuating art that I love, my assessments are pretty much: Can I afford it? And do I see myself loving it for eternity? I focus primarily on original works. I've sold off most of my prints. But I do still acquire a few here and there.
My tastes span from 'urban contemporary' to 'pop surrealism'. I do seem to love portraiture the best. If I were rich, I'd own work by Jake & Dinos Chapman, Clive Barker, Banksy, Joe Black, Lisa Yuskavage, John Currin, El Mac, Blu, and so on. Still, without being a member of the 1%, I have acquired original artwork by the following: George Morton-Clark, Miss Bugs, Saturno Buttò, Dan Quintana, Esao Andrews, Adam Miller and a slew of lesser known artists.
I hope to acquire an original by Herakut one day.
I'm expecting delivery of 7 original works this summer. I hope I can finish paying them off before the global economy collapses!

I am me. Reading a few of the posts, it looks like I signed up for a lot of the same reasons. Got tired of the constant bickering and trolling on the other forum. It doesn't look like this board is quite as active yet, but hopefully that will change.

I've noticed weekends are slow on the forums. Everyone is out doing stuff, which is good. It means we have lives other than the forum.
