The first stone tablets were created thousands of years ago anyway. Nothing's original.

I don't do Facebook and don't understand the timelines. Can someone briefly explain this to me. I like Carl and have several works by him. I briefly glanced at the offending comment thing. I feel qualified to have a bash at this.
Carl posted a link on his Facebook. The link was for an artist that has a range of pills/tablets carved out of stone. Zeus commented on the post and said "copycat cunt", claiming that his own range of carved tablets were being copied by the artist in the link. Carl was offended by this and accused Zeus of directing the comment at him Zeus said he was directing the comment at the artist in the link, not Carl. Someone posted another link, showing another artist had been creating stone pills back in 2005, before Zeus and the other artist.
That's as far as I got.
If I've got it wrong, my bad.

I don't do Facebook and don't understand the timelines. Can someone briefly explain this to me. I like Carl and have several works by him. Because of the picture on the link ot the link puton Thebigboss, Dean critised Carl with the words that yo ucan read :- ) " It is true taht Dea ( Zeus ) made some of these before ... So Carl put this on his Facebook : " Problem: Wake up to an established artist that you respect, accusing you of stealing work/ideas.... Solution: Put no cunt on a pedestal and youl never be disappointed. " And then Carl answered that the " man " accusing carl, was hiM " Well, for the lovers of art, I think that it is not a very interesting affair,... A bit of gossips, and an bit of Banksy/Robbo, Banksy/Blek, Banksy/ReneGagnon etc .. " guerillas " ... The last answer of Gagnon ( I bought this print and I sold it and I would like to buy it again ) . was superb !

So has Ryca been copying the artist also? I think it's a bold move by an artist to call another artist a copycat cunt before checking to see if anyone else has made work like yours before you did. I mean that's what Google was invented for.
And who's copying who? No more sunsets. No more landscapes! No more beautiful portraits! No more bowls of fruit! No more stencil art! No more abstract stuff! Who cares who did what first? Just make sure your shit is better than the other person's shit.

It's incredibly difficult to be completely original nowadays. People will always assume you have taken 'inspiration' from another

ryca I've already explained this on Instagram. But for the benefit of others I've been to your studio years ago (not sure if you are still there or not) and saw what you were working on then.

Yeah I don't quite get what your saying on Instagram or here. You've bought my work and been to my workshop. What did you buy and when? You keep making comments about my work that I read as negative ? Am I wrong ? I still work over in Epping Harlow but moved to a new space a few years ago. I spent all the money I had made on industrial equipment so I could do everything in-house. I guess your trying to stay anonymous with your artistic endeavours ?

ryca Yes you are wrong, I wouldn't have bought if I didn't like it. I would've bought your collab piece with Eine if I had the spare cash at the time. I'm not of a fan of Star Wars in any shape or form. No, I did think about it to start with

Agree with fed, as that is how I read it. It was a rhetorical question from nonconformist. I think that is confirmed from his post 30 mins later `It's incredibly difficult to be completely original nowadays. People will always assume you have taken 'inspiration' from another`
