Julien "seth" malland is well known here in France. I love his work. He makes some documentaries around the world meeting local street and urban artists (i discovered some artists thanks to him) and most of the time he makes collabs with them. These "movies" are awesome. Unfortunatly, i don't think there are translated videos in english.

In all honesty I found that show hugely disappointing, the dream like state of his walls translated poorly for me at least, they felt like excerpts rather than whole concepts and the pricing was laughable - but hey it sold out so I'm clueless.

I don't know what were the prices but when i see his works in auction, prices are always very high (higher Than i thought it would be). I was a bit surprised at the begining but there must be a lot of demand ....

Thanks for sharing cnh. I really like Seth's work both on the street and in the gallery.I was surprised too about his pricing but there seems to be demand at that level; it means that unless things change the 'original' boat has sailed.

I have asked about his work not long ago, he has a massive waiting list apparently for original works

I assume you visited the show then right ? Funnily enough I couldn't disagree more with you but to each his own I guess ;-) As for the pricing, most were offered around EUR 9K and UNsurprisingly very quickly gone. Itinerrance is generally very reasonable on pricing and again spot on this time to make this Show a huge success, as I believe such big formats could easily have sold for even higher prices considering how popular SETH has been in France and around the world for so many years already. Anyway glad I took the opportunity of a very short trip to Paris to go and see the body of artworks in person, by far the best show I've seen for quite some time, really worth the visit IMHO ;-)

(i knew about the show a good year before it happened.. and got the list.... when most of it was gone..) as for SETH I've only heard good things... btw welcome to the forum sa .
