Louis Theroux: A Different Brain Tonight (Sun 15 May 2016) 2100, BBC 2 Louis Theroux takes a look at the issues affecting some of the estimated million people in the UK living with the long-term effects of a brain injury. Louis spends time at the Brain Injury Rehabilitation Trust, a major provider of neuro-behavioural rehabilitation, in an effort to understand how individuals and their families come to terms with this life-altering condition. Although apparently physically unchanged, individuals with acquired brain injury face huge cognitive, behavioural and personality challenges. Family members are often caught between grieving for the loved one they have lost and learning to love the person they have become.

He's out in Australia at the moment on a speaking tour and I caught the show last Thurs. He was great and I've always loved his stuff. The dementia and Vegas gambling docos are great. Scientology is a very successful business. If you've got a couple of hours spare watch him on Joe Rogans podcast on youtube. Crazy that under US law as a religion they aren't allowed to just horde cash so they have to spend it....so they buy property in LA...crazy. I lost a best friend to Landmark Education / The Forum years ago. They're basically a poor-man's scientology as we were all 'holding him back' Crazy & Sad

well .. did anyone see it ?
(it) puts a few things in perspective - the last interview says more to LT then he thought ... was coming.
all in all sobering viewing - harrowing at the start.
and still something i'd recommend all to view , it's not entertainment , you understand.
this kind of behaviour - you must conclude, goes on under our very eyes in different guises.

Think he means a new episode LT did on Jimmy Saville. Pretty sure that was on sunday.

stayed up late to watch it. was kinda disappointed to be honest.... maybe my expectations were too high? it had a good amount of laughs and absurdity as with any LT doc, but to me it felt slightly incohesive, scattered, and unfinished. i don't want to give anything away, but there were some hints of some sort of big reveal that never materialized, and some great ideas that kinda just petered out.... it almost seems like he wanted to do a Nathan Fielder type performance art-ish doc, but got cold feet or ran out of time
between Going Clear and the John Sweeny docs, a lot of this stuff was covered before, so really it was just the bemused Louis we all know and love, just in a different situation
gonna give it a second watch this weekend and see if it grows on me
