Another sad day, light didn't shine so bright of late , but when it did feck he was untouchable.
The baseline... Wild attitude style vibe , the whole shebang.
Bought sign o the times .. same day as the unacceptable face of freedom...
Bliss
Rip , dude you made a difference

Some of the best concerts I've ever been to---an artist who was incredibly generous with his gift. The first show I ever saw of his was at a 500-person venue in Chicago. Prince asked if the audience had seen him perform before. About half of the audience cheered. He next asked if the audience was seeing him for the first time. The other half of the audience cheered. He then said, "For all of those first-timers, I'm going to play all of your favorites." And, over the next 3+ hours, he pretty much did. In NY, there are some cool tributes going on, including some street art ones (although the second photo might have been Photoshopped)

If you have the patience to listen to a 10 minute intro, one of the best renditions of purple rain.
I cry when I hear this, insane
I grew up in Minneapolis in Reagan's 80s, and Prince was a monument to us. Still can't believe he is gone

It was in poor taste and you know it. Would it have made it better if he released them 6 months later? To me, that would just look like a poor cash in on someone's death.

Can artists please try to refrain from creating tribute pieces they then plaster across social media to get interest in their work? It's crass and opportunistic. You liked prince just say you did.simple.
Pricks.

But the prints were already done! I'll just agree to disagree. I hate any fucker cashing in on someone's death, but I thought it was wrong for PE to be used as an example when there are many worse examples out there.

You liked prince just say you did.simple. Pricks. I feel if someone wants to pay tribute to anyone who has passed should do it in the best way that they can, and if art is the best skill an artist has then why shouldn't they use it to pay tribute, selling pieces is a different matter altogether but don't be against creating pieces for tribute, it's like hating someone for posting a RIP picture tribute on their social media to appear more popular for their love of Prince, please refrain from being negative and just celebrate the life of an icon
