just got my tickets. who will I see there? ----- Stik will be signing copies of his book ‘Stik’ published by Penguin at Strand Bookshop. The historical venue is just minutes away from Stik’s iconic water tower ‘Union’ on Union Square. July 21st 2016, 6pm-8pm For the first time ever Stik shares his personal archive of working photographs and recounts the social and personal motivations behind each of his murals in this beautifully designed and produced art book, from unauthorised pieces painted on the streets of East London when the artist was homeless through to the giant international murals for which he has become famous. This book is the culmination of 15 years of work and is a unique insight into the artist’s world.   |

Strongly considering going. One extra incentive for local folks who are on the fence: according to the Strand's description of the event, "Anyone who buys a copy of STIK to be signed is eligible to enter a lottery to win a set of limited-edition lithographic cardstock Stik posters, signed by Stik himself. The set, one orange and one blue, are one of only five printed and depict the same image seen on the book’s cover." anyone going? would love to meet up Maybe Stik will hold your hand so you don't both feel lonely. was great to meet Stik today. genuinely a super nice and generous fella and he seemed to love the present my wife made him (pic on IG). happily came home with signed posters in both new colors. gotta say i think the teal is the best of the lot... too bad I promised it to a fellow forum member luckily he even signed my red UK poster. so psyched. now crossing my fingers for the print giveaway will do a giveaway on here for a signed and doodled book once i get home sadly, despite prior rumors, there was no karaoke |
