Hi friends,
I usually use the ProBoards app on my iPad and iPhone to view the forum. I recently got the new iPhone 6, and the ProBoards app is no longer available.
It looks like the "Tapatalk" app is replacing it? Anyone have any experience with this app? I installed it but can't find our forum (or any art forum)

Yep I'm on Tapatalk app and it works fine. As its part of proboards you log like usual.

Never bothered with the app. Same here (well, iPhone 6+), the iOS Safari browser shows the mobile version by default. A friend pointed out a handy 'lil tip the other day - if you tap the address box and pull it down, you get an option to switch to the desktop version, which I find better as you're able to zoom in on photo's, etc. I also find it easier to use the desktop version to compile post/messages as all the function buttons are available... Desktop version on my iPad 3 is soooooo sloooooowwww. Especially on the Instagram thread. So have resorted to switching to the mobile version.

I am writing this using the Proboards app on an iPhone 6, seems to work well for me though just checked the App Store and it's not on there so they must have pulled/discontinued it.

I have only ever used 'safari'. Is there any advantages to probored's app or tapatalk? What are the benefits? I think the main benefits are that you can select to just view the threads with posts you haven't read yet and also it takes you to the last post in a thread which saves you having to scroll through long threads that you've previously read. However, photos show up as thumbnails and quite often when you click to view the photo is takes you off to the web page with the image. Personally, I prefer viewing via Safari but it just comes down to personal preference really. |

Proboards App allows the same and also allows photos to be posted straight from your phone ( though not in PMs for some reason.

I finally got the Tapatalk app to work on my phone.. it blows. I much prefer the ProBoards app, which unfortunately is no longer supported and doesn't work on newer phones

I just use safari to do a icon on my home page and use the mobile version on a iPhone 4 and it works well.
Posting pics is a pain so if I do that I use the laptop.
