I'm happy to announce the first (of hopefully many) artist Q&A's. slammer was able to get in touch with Mr. Jago and will graciously be submitting our questions to him. Feel free to leave a question here for Mr. Jago and slammer will post the answers once Mr. Jago has time to respond. (since this is the first time we're doing this, feel free to also give suggestions to the format)

(Just to break the ice I'll start with a softball...)
Who are some of the artists who inspired you in your formative years?

What advice would you give to any aspiring artists?
Have you ever trashed a hotel room?
What's the strangest thing you've ever painted?
With an ever-increasing population and finite resources, do you think that humans will one day develop the technology to enable a person's consciousness to be uploaded into a virtual environment (not unlike the Matrix, but probably more like GTA), where people will be able to exist forever, while reducing their harmful impact on the planet?
What's surprised you most about being an artist?

How much input do you have in the production of your prints?
Do you think that urban/street artists are held back by non-standard nick names when they move into the mainstream art world?
Daddy or chips?

Your work appears to have the spontaneity of a stream-of-consciousness approach, is this the case? If so how do you approach the work as for it not to appear haphazard? Is the meaning and interest for you in your work then stem from the final aesthetic or does the final piece represent more of a biproduct of your process? What if anything can you share of your process that allows for such vibrant and atmospheric pieces?

I'll pop questions over to Mr Jago on Friday this week. So you all have a few days to think and submit yours.

If any of you aren't familiar with Mr Jago's work. Here are my kids paintings. This one is a collab between Jago and one of my kids. Which leads me to my next question. Which artist have you enjoyed collaborating with the most and why ?.

This is a great idea and kudos to slammer for organising it. My questions are: You had some sculpture in your exhibition in Noirt a few years ago, is this something you're thinking of revisiting in the future? What did you find were the limitations or advantages of sculpture compared with painting? You're work's changed a lot since the Scrawl Collective days, do those days seem a long time ago and did it feel strange painting at the Scrawl Collective's recent 15 year anniversary? Any chance of you publishing a book of your work?

Why is it that street/urban artists cannot draw feet properly, or even hands? (Not that it matters to your pieces ... but why?)

Did you ever feel like jackin' the whole art thing in? If so, what made you persevere?
Which art teacher had the most impact on you (for better or worse)? Use a pseudonym if you like - it's the story that accompanies your answer that is the most interesting.
