I just liked it, I think your over thinking it 😂 Fair enough, but it wasn’t a long thought process to arrive at my opinion. Pretty instant actually. It looks like the sort of scene that might have appeared in ‘Some Mother’s do ‘Ave ‘Em’, or ‘On the Buses’. Male protagonist forgets to show love, clumsily cobbles something together, little lady is thrilled. That is literally what it shows. It’s not trying to subvert or critique that trope. It is reinforcing it. (insert friendly, smiley, justhavingadiscussion face) (is there one of those emojis? I would probably use that one. Well, maybe. I still wake with shivers at the fact the world has gone back to using hieroglyphs and President Camacho is in the Whitehouse) |
