If I ever win the lotto, I will buy a Parla canvas. A London gallery had one of the best originals advertised recently - sadly now gone.

On my must have list.
What are we talking moneywise for a large original?

I don't think any thing in his new show was under $25k but I have seen some pretty nice older originals come up for less in the secondary. You can get his water colors for around $10-12k which are beautiful. I think he has a really strong collector base at primary but his secondary market doesn't seem as strong.

I remember say 2010 his work dropped quite a bit, some large water colours going for 5k pounds at auction and people lowering the price of them privately also. Wish i went for one back then always liked the early red water colours. The installations he's been doing have been amazing so doubt he needs to ever do prints again, he must be really rich these days. Also Elvis is that yours above (first post), is it a painting on paper? looks amazing...

Yep I can specifically remember seeing water colors go for very cheap back then, as low as 5k usd on a bonhams auction once. I doubt we will ever see a print again, at least not anytime soon. My friend asked him about the possibility of one when he was doing those hand finished zine's a while back and he said he wasn't interested in print editions. I am very happy to have gotten a st giles when I did.

It doesn't happen often..These days it's all hype and artists need good PR like a good band. So many good artists out there producing works which are cheap but know one buys them as they cannot make a profit from selling the pieces on.
