I visited the stella dore gallery in St Leonards on Sea and saw the current exhibition of Dotmaster - "line em out". The exhibition includes a lot of great stenciled canvases of which some really seem to be 3 dimensional. You get an idea of it when you look at the pictures, but they are much more impressive in the flesh. Two examples can be seen here: http://instagr.am/p/B0nVPp9BAgW http://instagr.am/p/B00IUMpBVNe I wish I had the money to get one of these... But there is a very nice print available as well which was afordable for me: http://instagr.am/p/B1Tmq8OhvlT http://instagr.am/p/B0X81M2BL6r I went for one of the handfinished magenta prints and it really fits in our living room: Beside the fact that the exhibition is great and well worth a visit, I had a really nice chat with the gallery owner Stef. She used to work for POW and was involved in other galleries and projects and I am sure most of you know who I am talking about. She took a break of the art world and is now back in the game. She showed me some prints which were for sale (and some which were not) and there was lots of great stuff I've seen in the flesh for the very first time in my life. I really enjoyed the visit and can highly recommend visiting the gallery if you are in the area! The current dotmaster show is running until the end of the month and I have a feeling that there are more good shows coming... At the end I got the chance to get myself a real nice souvenir which I didn't expected and couldn't resist: (No idea why it is showing like that, sorry!) If I understood it right, this was the only one for sale she had and I feel very happy to have this now framed on my wall!
