As the thread title indicates, I have a David Choe original from 2008 for sale. It is a large (unframed size 18" x 23.5") watercolor on paper titled Jane. A gorgeous painting, and unmistakably Choe, in the vein of Dragon Girl '14, Tokyo Girl '10, and London Girl '07. There are no issues with this piece, and it is beautifully framed by Morningside Gallery using museum glass and custom moulding. If you have wanted a Choe original, I don't think you will find a better piece. Watercolor seems to be his forte, and according to Choe himself, he hasn't sold his art since 2009, so it is doubtful that an original like this will come around any time soon. I have no idea what Jane might be worth in 2022. As an indication, I paid $7500 for it many years ago. The small 10" x 14" watercolor image of Batman that Choe contributed to a charity auction on eBay in 2020 sold for $38,100. Yes, IMHO Batman trumps any of his "Girl" images every time. And in typical Choe style, he made fun of the person who would pay that much for his art, even for charity, and proceeded to post how to videos on Instagram to help those who couldn't afford $38,100 create their own watercolor image of Batman. I love the irony. At any rate, Jane is for sale. I will ship worldwide, and I am willing to sell it unframed should the buyer desire that option. As stated above, I don't know what it is worth, but I would ideally like $7500. Offers will be entertained. I can provide several references if needed, and have bought and sold quite a bit of art through the forums, although not much over the last two or three years.

A stunning example and beautiful framing too.... GLWTS.
