But where do people discover lesser known artists, they're not easy to find. Galleries need to be prepared to take a chance and reach out a little more, but it takes confidence in their own artistic appreciation to do that, most just follow the herd. Instagram has become my go to place to find up and coming artists. Just press the Explore button. |

I love new stuff just like the Bisser print I never managed to get. I think the thing that got me this week was the Mau Mau show, I have quite a bit of this stuff and have the two previous piggy canvas editions box framed and out on display. Sent various emails to try and complete the collection but nope, get to the show or you don't get one. No one has yet messaged to say they'll be online at some point... This I find out at 11pm last night through a forum post. Got one I hope but no thanks to Westbank or Mau Mau. I don't want pandering to but if I'm buying your artwork the least you could do is help me keep up my collection so I don't have to source it from secondary market prices.

Well thanks to a great forum member this week I have now managed to acquire the illusive Bisser print which is flattening out nicely. Great print by the way.

It has become a great platform to get there art out to the masses in the hope that they can make a good living out of it. Also an easy way to look for what floats your boat in art, as you will see where they get inspiration from as they will follow who inspires them and so on.... |
