ps. Whilst I like this artist the hype around them, the use of press releases to prove they've arrived plus talk of controlling the secondary to this extent smacks of a real fear that there's no market to speak of. But as a non buyer I can stand back and see how wrong or right I was in time.

There's no agreement not to sell within five years, there's a 'gentleman's agreement' to sell via the gallery in the first instance. Probably difficult to enforce, in reality. I've had the wording forwarded to me would you like me to publish to disprove your words? Does the possibility exist that I've agreed to something that someone else has not, or does every agreement absolutely have to be the same? I'm pleased the world I live in isn't so linear......

Agreed to not selling it for 5 years? I buy art to hang and look so not fussed. Its not 5 years though either, but you've got the wording so I guess you know that.

Your literally missing the point entirely but why doesn't that surprise me. Oh and no I've seen the email and it says 5 years, so fuck off if you think I'd make that up.

Well considering you seemed to be discussing the matter in absolutes perhaps I should ask you the same question? But let me hold your hand through this. Obviously there could be different contracts or none at all (for some) but surely that in itself raises another interesting question, one which is considerably more of an issue. Anyway I'll let you two enjoy the wonderful art.

Your constant ranting about certain artists and galleries where you clearly have an axe to grind is equally pathetic.

Amusing, that reads really well. Time for sleepyclub....... The first rule of sleepy club is zzzzzzzzzzzz. Such a cliche borne out of city brokers and traders who in actual fact in my limited experience had very little value to add. They often returned to the common denominator of slagging people off to make themselves appear more relevant.

This place must be wearing on me because all I can think of to describe this is that I'm "chuffed to bits".
