Not really sure what's going on, but for some reasons i didn't post in that thread for some months... remember i thought i would wait until i frame it and show some pictures after that. but in reallity i only framed some stickers in the last time will try to frame some of the prints i got in the last time soon. here is a best of compilation of my latest arrivals: sorry for the crapy picture, but i think most of you know how those prints look like... let me know if not and i can make additional pictures the 1 gazillion dollar question now is, with which print should i start the framing marathon?

Phew the mrs liked it too. Now I'll need to hang it. Edit: I've got to ask..... is there an "affordable art for sale" thread on here somewhere that I have missed, or is it felt that this place is less about commerciality and sales and rather about the visual art? I can't afford £1k for a print, so I can just drool over the images, but thanks to some threads, have found some alternative stuff that I love hanging at home... maybe not by the big hyped names, but art I love.

Finally framed some bits up this week.
and fed if you haven't already framed your Harring pins here are mine. pins are actually one of the easiest things to frame, just pin them to some nice paper and wack them in a frame. This is a cheap Ikea box frame, think it cost me 3 or 4 quid.

Really nice - I recognise that Supermundane piece from his show at Unlimited. Our studio was right next door, and I was tempted by that one every time I walked past.

This Sweler miniature (very miniature - 13cm x 13cm ish) arrived this morning. I've got a larger Sweler bird canvas that I didn't like so much in person, but really happy with this one!

I ended up watching him paint the new mural on Unlimited for far too long. my girlfriend took the hint when we went to his show and bought it for my birthday. where about's is your studio then? didn't realise their was studio space next door.

I've since left Brighton and moved to Cornwall, but our studio was down Jew Street - the seedy alley that runs along the side of Unlimited, opening out into that little parking area behind Art Republic. Lots of interesting people (I'm not one of them) work down that alley, and the graf in that parking area would change every day. Actually it's what I miss most about moving to the countryside, I barely see any new work in the flesh. My studio mate helped him paint the mural for that show for one of the days and ended up having his own show at Unlimited as a result - it was all dog-themed, if you happened to see that one. Just before we moved away, the Gary Stranger 'GOOD' piece on the side of Unlimited had been blanked out ready for something new, but I'm not sure if something else has ended up there in its place yet. If you're local, I'd be interested to see a picture of what's there next time you're passing...

every time i walk that way i always go check out that car park, such a sick spot. i use to paint there as well, but as you said the graf changes daily and i couldn't keep up, it was too much of a battle. Best in show - John bondif this is the show you were referring to i did see it, my other half is in love with his work. i am actually planning on grabbing one at some point for her birthday. Supermundane repainted the whole shop

That's amazing - thanks so much for the photos! Looks fantastic. We probably crossed paths a few times - I don't paint any more, but would spend plenty of time in that area smoking and generally looking shifty.
John's based in Worthing now, but if you give him a shout on Instagram or through his website he'd definitely sort out something appropriate for her birthday. He does plenty of commissions and custom work at really (really) fair prices. He's freakishly talented at what he does and honestly the nicest chap you could meet. If an intro would be helpful then just shout.
Here's a cringey video of him in our old studio, and wandering around that parking area trying (and failing) not to look awkward.

Really nice Kernow, how much is Sweler selling the miniatures for? I'm keen to get one myself. Hello! I bought this from Ben Oakley gallery for £95 inc P&P which seemed really fair. He had another one which might be sold by now, but give him a shout on info@benoakleygallery.com - seems a really nice guy, and currently has an exhibition of miniatures on at the moment. I have a larger Sweler canvas that's 25x30cm that I bought from him direct - I think it was £150. To be honest I'm less keen on that one - I'll sort out an image later on and send you a PM in case you fancy it. If you do, you can have it mega cheap as we're former neighbours and both fine Cornishmen (I bought that Nemos from you a while back...)
