Whats your single favourite Banksy image released as a print and why? Forget about prices, which image grabs you for whatever reason and why? Tricky, theres only a few im not fussed on, lots i like alot and quite a few which are his best imo. If i had to pick 1 it would be Napalm. Why-my favourite art is that which creates a strong emotional response, Napalm is direct, powerful and thought provoking, bullseye for me!

My absolute favorite image is barcode for no reason at all other than I find it aesthetically pleasing. Shallow but who cares.

For me it is a print that doesn't get as much love as most of the others.
My choice would be Flag. Two reasons.....I think this image is very strong and the message (for me) about the amount of money and resources spent by the USA on wars around the globe while some of the American people are largely ignored and left to suffer is thought provoking.
The other reason I like this one is it's the only Banksy I own!!

two answers for me...
First, is the Dumbo print, simply because for anything I'm into (art, books, music etc), the most recent release is always my favorite. I think I got that from reading "Perks of Being a Wallflower" in high school
Second, is Flying Copper. I think it's a perfect representation of his work - funny, subversive, thought provoking, and well done

tough choice between laugh now and happy choppers for me. I love how simplistic both are but yet convey equally powerful messages. I'd probably lean towards HC as I think its the most aesthetically pleasing print banksy has to date.

Changes by the day but i love the crude stencil and over spray on the chucker's. Poignant, iconic and amazing contrast with that red background. An image of hope too which is my preference. I really like trolley's too and have to get that one in my collection at some point. Napalm and dumbo (both mentioned above) are too much for my eyes. I appreciate the artistic statement but I do not like to hang art in my home that stings the viewer when they look at it with negativity. They certainly make you think but looking at dumbo all i hear is that vocal track he put on the video with outstanding effect of the chopper being shot down and i can't get those souls dying out of my head nor do i want to be reminded of it day in and day out. At face it's very cute and funny but too dark for me once the onion is peeled. It's similar, albeit different reasoning that my wife refuses christ with shopping bags which i would very much love to hang.

Ok first I have to say I don't really like his prints that much, I much prefer him as a vandal. That said the question was fave print image so for me it would either radar rat, I just like rats and radar is about the best of the printed ones, or gwb ok as I read this one it's about knowing when to walk away when to know that love can hurt like fuck but if it is love you sometimes have to say goodbye . Personally there have been times when I have held on to long and caused all kinds of pain to everyone involved as I'm sure many of us have. Of course it could just be a pretty print of a little girl with a red balloon

Nothing against the other prints, but Napalm is number one for me too. Like a kick to the stomach every time. I love the Dumbo print, but Napalm makes me feel the same as when watching the Dumbo BOTI video. Number two is Applause, closest print I've seen that looks like it's out of the artist's sketch book. Love those collaged mock ups. Third, petrol bomb. Classy, sophisticated riot goodness!

I am not familial with all Banksy prints, but the ones that I have seen (photos), I lean towards two... NOLA and CYW.
NOLA because it depicts a helpless girl under the apparent security of an umbrella (FEMA), yet - she's still getting wet.
CYW because I think the image is a self-portrait of sorts... Banksy borrowing iconic art symbols, making them his own. Art is his weapon.
Of the two, and if cost was not an issue... I'd grab a grey NOLA. Or a yellow CYM. :-)
Carry on.

Queen Vic still makes me laugh and I love the gorgeous deep red background. Cool story too, it was originally painted on to a shutter and therefore was only visible at night time when the shop was closed giving it an adults only viewing certificate. Saying that, when I was a kid I was obsessed with John Travolta so Pulp Fiction is pretty up there too and then there's Laugh Now.... oh dear tricky question ...... all of um! In fact the only one I don't like is Napalm. Much as I think it's a very strong image I can't bare the look of desperation and pain on poor Kim Phuc, the young Vietnamese girl featured between Ronald McDonald & Micky Mouse, very uncomfortable viewing.
I definitely agree about the flags print though the silver looks stunning professionally framed up, I'm not as keen on the gold.

Barcode's my fav, for the simplicity but enduring relevance which can be applied to many scenarios.
Next up is Morons, my view was that the message was directed to people who (at the time) bought it. The edge for me has been eroded since Morons was released.

My favorite is LIITA/Flower Thrower, by far. Does anyone have any info on the first use of the image?

Festival/Destroy Capitalism. Because it's a decent satirical image. It's honest, humorous, has a point, and (for me) plays with the kind of 4th wall thing like Morons does. But I find Morons more brutally honest out of the two. So I'll go with Festival.

Hard really to go for just one But no'1 for me is Napalm Really is him at his best. Really powerful does war, corporate power, marketing, no one giving a shit about the little people etc etc sure loads more all in one quick humorous yet disturbing hit. It also never dates and not sure it ever will unfortunately It's a game over piece for me....so given one piece that's it for me http://instagram.com/p/3bqIBKv1er

Has to be Sonic / Radar rat for me.
Always loved the rats since "London doesn't work" which was so perfectly spot on. Love the spy booth piece to bits with it's modern message (loss of privacy which is the last freedom being taken from us) and archaic Cold War feel...
I like that the print, with it's spray and rushed feel, looks like a piece from a wall more than a print.
No chance in hell I would ever spend that money on a print, or even any piece of art, but I still love it to bits

Mine has always been barcode and that show in holland has a very nice grey canvas in their collection, lucky bastards. Not sure what the whole message is? But when I go through the self checkout and scan expensive items like say organic mushrooms which are $12/kilo, I scan in the cheap fuckers which are $3/kilo... It's my big fuck you to the big corporations, I walk away (from the cage) smiling for other images when that NZ guy had nearly every print on show in Sydney a few years back, images I never liked I started liking.. Especially Applause. I also kick my self for not buying a signed trollers for 2800k pounds.. Great image and much prefer the black and white..

>>My favorite is LIITA/Flower Thrower, by far. Does anyone have any info on the first use of the image?<<< Sorry, as i messed up the copy function above. The first use, as far as I'm aware, is the hand painted version that debuted at Severnshed in'00 and was later exhibited at Glasgow and Art in the streets and continuously updated albeit sparingly over those dozen years. It's in a private collection now. That's the '12 version at art in the streets above. You can see the sky was much different in '00 and even '01 when it was at Glasgow :

No Ball Games Because I am a teacher, that print really "speaks" to me and what I love about working with young people. Maybe one day Banksy will send me one.
