Hi, Just checking if there's anyone out there with their ears to the ground who might know - or have heard rumours - about a new Dolk drop coming any time soon. This is also my chance to see if any Norwegians joined us on the dark side from the UAA as they always seem to know what's happening before the rest of us (are you there gard? You and Dolk speak all the time I'm sure ). I've been hoping he'll release 'Chief' for ages now but I'll be interested in what he has to offer.

I thought I heard someone mention May. That would be exactly a year since his last drop.

It would be nice if Dolk could put on a full show rather than just the yearly print release. He's got some clever ideas but the last few releases did nothing for me.

I agree with Letiss. The last print releases were not that much of interest for me. When was the latest release actually, a year ago? I hope he can do something with a strong dark message.

I visited his show in Bergen about 18 months ago and there was some dark stuff there so I kinda hope the same too. I sometimes can't understand why he chooses the images he does for print releases as I thought Graffiti Remover and Angels were both weak although I guess different people have different tastes and he had his reasons. A London show would be nice too

Would Not surprise me at all if one of the upcoming print images is dated from last year

I'd still like to see Paint Suicide (been saying that for years). Agree with others that Chief would be great also.
I disagree that the last release was weak. I think both Idea Painter and Vandal are very strong- esp. when up against the likes of Leap and Angels, etc. when he was releasing prints more frequently. And on that note I really dig having very few releases recently- makes it feel more special to score a print as opposed to an artist releasing a print every other month or so (or much worse- Shep Fairey!)
Then again, I have eight Dolks hanging, one flattening on the kitchen table and another two on the way so clearly I have a problem and am not a fair and balanced voice on the topic. :-D

Always liked Dolk, but if I'm honest he strikes me as somewhat lazy in execution, output and quality - he's threatened on occasion to really break out but he's never consistently made a bold enough statement. He's still relatively young and here's hoping. Toy is a great image.
