Scared to know the cost

I'm scared as well. I've always wanted to add his work to my collection but I'm currently a poor man with a expensive hobby.

Does anyone know the cost? As might be up for a split if the price is not to savage I would imagine $5000+ each

According to the email I received stated that the "Pricing will be tiered." They going to check my income and price me accordingly? Hah

Hah it means they'll pressure people on the fence about buying it to purchase right away, for fear the price will go up while they're still trying to make a decision. especially deceivious by not releasing price beforehand

I actually quite like the images. The cost will not be a factor as can't afford them together anyway but if they were split? then maybe would consider.
Can't help but think presenting the past would be a better purchase on the secondary than any of these three.
Does feel he is bringing out prints drops more regularly these days or am I wrong?

Does feel he is bringing out prints drops more regularly these days or am I wrong? for sure. there seems to have been a ton of prints this year. I've always admired Kaws, but never loved his work (similar to how I feel about Faile) but I can't subscribe to his work being treated like fine art. makes me feel uneasy, as it does when any street artists gets gobbled up by the art establishment (Harring, Basquiat, Banksy etc)

Looking at those would make me dizzy. ( same for checking my bank balance after the purchase ) A very easy pass but the search for a nice Kaws print continues.

Do you reckon KAWS himself feels he gets "gobbled up by the art establishment" ? Isn't that exactly what he was trying to achieve ? What's wrong with an artist (who started in the street) doing what it takes to get there ? I feel the oppositite way : I love it when one artist I like actually succeeds as well as some rubbish contemporary artists who are selling (sh8) for millions... Peace ;-)

It's hard to image that when there's that much money at stake that the artist is given the freedom to express and create at will without having to worry about fulfilling financial expectations similar concern as when an indie band or director make the jump to a large major. will their point of view get forced to be watered down?

I hear you. Some would argue on the other hand that financial success provides the artist with a safety net which allows him to try to go in any direction he really wants ;-)
