Not for me either, something about this style I just can't warm to. But well done to everyone that got one.

Really want one of these bad boys. For some reason ever since Virgin media emails switched to gmail I've had problems. Quite a few times the emails just stop getting sent to my iPhone so I have to log on through another device to delete stuff from the inbox to make things work again? Lost out on the Guy Denning releases at new year because of the same thing. Had pre release options from Colleen that I missed out on. If I miss this one for the same reason I'll be pretty pissed off.

Bad form. Had both in the cart and went to check out only to be told sold out. Not good. Carting doesn't work with Shopify, have to be logged in and just checkout with paypal right away, quick and painless if you can get to checkout with the item in your cart.

I was logged into the utbny website with my created account. Hit the add to cart button. Went to the Your Cart page where it shows what you've added to your cart. Hit the continue button where it the tells me my cart is empty. Must've done this around 15/ 20 times until finally sold out. Shopify is not my friend today.

If anyone is having buyer's remorse on the regular or hf version please send me a PM! Lots on eBay for marginal markups. I'm sure if you message the sellers you could get for less than $300 off eBay.

The power of the forum is strong the print is ok but an edition this size at this cost being flipped on ebay is crazy. It always amazes me when I witness this and there are many artists with big names that cant sell out an edition like this. Maybe its the new factor, but its clearly head scratching. Nothing against Bisser this is a comment how these anomalies happen in our genre that dont follow a normal path. I have to call it the forum effect.

Seen it happen so many times, it's amazing, just a dopamine rush i think being able to buy something that other people you 'know' are trying to get. There doesn't seem to be much rhyme or reason as to which artists the forum(s) start supporting. Interesting phenomenon for sure!

It's more just people trying to flip, rather than it actually flipping.

It's more just people trying to flip, rather than it actually flipping. Im just curious how it happens, who is chosen and why. Its insane sometimes when an artist I never heard of or seen outside a forum outsells artists that are consistantly working and in more of a global spotlight. Is there some formula to it. It seems if your just an all around nice guy and your art is decent to above average you have a shot selling work or even surpassing really talented painters who are too busy painting to sell their work. Ill call it the Forum effect, or the power of these forums to be able to get the fringe buyers, and flippers to buy in.

I think there is some genuine interest in his work, but as you noted, much like many artists like this, it is limited to the forums only. Personally, I like the quirky style. The behaviour you are seeing boils down to 1 thing -- people are so desperate for something to flip, they'll latch on to anything with any perceived interest.

I remember liverpoolste refusing to buy anything flipped on eBay, if we all did the same it'd hopefully fizzle out.

There was plenty of interest in his last print that sold out that wasnt advertised on any forums. He's an extremely talented guy with a good size fan base outside the forum. He's been on the forum for a year. I've been following him nearly 3 years since his first show in the uk. I believe the attention he's getting is very well deserved. Good on the guy. He only just finished uni last year (past with flying colours) he missed out on a comp to win a painting spot in Ibiza at a festival last year but as they were so impressed with his determination an work they gave him a spot anyway. I think he's gettin stereotyped into that bubble category
