in anticipation of the new Banksy event (maybe?), here's a giveaway for a sealed set of the Banksy vs Bristol Museum postcards from POW. Just "like" to be entered to win. no need to comment. will have someone pull a name in a week or so

Nice, does anyone know if these rumours are anything but rumours? I can confirm 100% that these rumours are most definitely rumours.

Is there any kind of artistic statement that I'm missing with these fake Banksys you are so fond of making?

Is there any kind of artistic statement that I'm missing with these fake Banksys you are so fond of making? it's called practice. you know how you can learn to play guitar by learning Rolling Stones songs? well, you can learn how to stencil by copying stencils other people have made. and it's fun. plus, they make for some good decoration. how else would I afford a Banksy?

Ah, those kind of horrible wedding cover bands. Mm but people for sure knows it's not the original band playing, trickier with work of art.

Mm but people for sure knows it's not the original band playing, trickier with work of art. not when I clearly write "not a real Banksy" on the back and only give them to friends who ask and want them for decoration, not to try to pass them off as real but I have to ask - why the sudden inquisition now? When you needed to raise money for your art show, I happily donated to your cause a fake Banksy (along with a 3D VNA special and an original Tesla stencil on wood ) and you happily accepted. I'm not trying to be argumentative - this is a conversation I like having, but curious what made you decide that was ok, but giving this one away in a fun little competition isn't? Where is your line in the sand?

I wouldn't worry about trying to justify your actions fed - it's a generous offer and you're not hurting anyone by doing it so I don't see the problem. It's the people on eBay flogging fakes for cash that annoys me.

Interestingly enough, Picasso was known to visit "El Prado" often to copy the Masters' works... He was practicing... I am sure that those "copies" are now worth a pretty penny. *I* have always wanted to create stencils after Banksy... If only to improve the poorly cut early stencils... Carry on.

Just having some fun but if I were ever a famous artist, I'd be honored if fans made their own versions of my work

because coming in second place is the same as not winning, I'll throw in a prize for the second name picked. Dran flyer from the recent show and a signed Penny showcard
