Not sure if this is the correct place for this thread? I have a question relating to the sales of art. Assuming the seller has been honest relating to the condition of a print, float mounted in conservation glass in this instance (unknown mounting method) some slight rippling visible when lit from above, coa in hand. What happens if the buyer is unhappy with the condition of the print, (purchased unseen) photos sent. Is it a case of buyer beware or would they have a legitimate case against the seller?

Did you ask were there any visible issues with the print?(im assuming there is now youve seen it). What is it that you're unhappy with now you've seen it in the flesh?

I am inferring that you are the seller... It would depend on what venue you used to sell the print... Private, eBay, I wish I could be of more help, but more information is needed to give appropriate advice.

rippling is normal in float mounts, shouldn't be a problem

You'll have to try and "quantify" how unhappy. Show stopper Grumpy Every time you look at it .. Think you've been ripped off by a scoundrel You know... If the unhappiness can be remedied via fix then shouldn't be a problem ,no ? (Sometimes on the bay you see people saying not mint .. Look here etc , covering themselves , then no cause for buyer saying ... You didn't tell me !!)
