Hermit, I didn't realize the whole "members only" thing until you mentioned it. Very odd. I respect the fact that the admins over here did not delete the comment, but I am curious which comment the mighty and powerful Oz wanted removed.  |

But really isn't it just as bad that the forum administrators/mods quietly (read without notice) switched the original Banksy show thread to private and they weren't even contacted by anyone professionally associated with him, but a 'mysterious' friend . However I bet anyone here awhile could guess with one or two guesses who that was. And to make it worse, now that their action became public they could simply switch it off private again because, hey the show is getting close anyway? .... I imagine if Silky did this next door many would have a bit more to say about it. want it back to private? really doesn't matter to me. my personal opinion (so, not the official position of the forum) is that way too much stock is put into figuring out what is and isn't happening. I'd rather the work just speak for itself, i.e. Gaza |

To get back on topic (rumors), the latest I have heard is that the print is real but it is not going to be priced cheaply meaning not like CYW but will be in the thousands. I was not even told a rough estimate only that they were going to slap a big price tag on it.

I think the cost will remove a bun fight with regular guys like me who don't have big money to spend on art. And a big price tag is all relative, what my friend thought of as big may not even make someone buying prints at today's prices even flinch. Remember the old timers were used to giveaway prices lol I am looking forward to seeing what is going to unfold. And like gaza how many of the rumors were completely off base  |

Sorry if I am ignorant, but that one has been around in Birmingham for ages hasn't it ? I think there are photos dating back to 2012 but i don't know who it is by for sure ? When I first heard that Dismaland story it immediately made me think of that but I can't really see the link if this does indeed predate the Dismaland company and isn't by Banksy? Am I missing something ? yeah that's old... saw it on instagram months ago Director of that company is from POW |

I like the mystery and misguided, pipe dreamed speculation. Shit man, it's an art show, not the fucking D-Day Battle Plans.
For people like me, who aren't going to be able jump the pond to attend the show (Damn school year starting!) or afford the art (Damn school teacher salary!), all we have is speculation and chatter. It's harmless fun.
It's part of the show.

So obvious And I thought I was the only one to see this!!!!!! :-) Everyone and his mother is selling work at the moment to get the funds together, looking at the amount some of the bigger names are selling ( who obviously know) I would say the new print will be around 3-5k.

I think lottery as I cant see how any other option will work. One thinks for sure though it will probable be none of them!!! |
