Quick tip for anyone going to Dismaland. To get maximum enjoyment from the employees, I would suggest "playing the game". Don't take anything personally, don't try to embarrass them or be rude to them and remember to keep it dismal.
Some of the staff are amazing. The fellow on the hook-a-duck stall today was not just a cantankerous employee, he was a friggin' artist. Seriously. For a quid, I have not been so entertained in a long time. He was hilarious.
Go, have fun, interact with the place, take in everything. You'll need quite some time in there. Go twice.

Did you find out the secret of the refugee boats that would only give their true meaning from playing ?

And for all the money I put into it, I couldn't "unlock" the rescue vessel. Dismal.

I'm really knackered right now, but today was an unforgettable experience. It's not just one piece of work, it's the whole thing. If you can get past the "oh, it's Disney again", then you can't help but be impressed by what's been done there. Just the sheer amount of work that invites you to look at something in perhaps a different way or to ask questions about society and how we treat each other and everything that comes with that.
The themes and subject matter that's being explored are clearly lost or wasted on some people, but it's flipping fantastic that the artists and activists that are involved in this are at the very least trying.
It's not preachy, it's smart, it's reasonable, it has a heart, it's fun, it's dismal. I genuinely laughed and cried today. It was quite an emotional rollercoaster. Like I said, no individual work stands alone, it's the whole thing. I've never seen anything like it. It's like art and activism got together and had this really awesome baby.
It might not touch everybody, but I saw an awful lot of people in there today that probably wouldn't go to a street art show/festival or have anything to do with activism, but they wanted to go and see Dismaland.
It's more than just a Disney-themed punfest. Much more.

Just on the off chance if anybody 'overbooked' by two tickets for Friday evenings DJ Yoda set and will be there with I.D. before 7pm so we meet up and queue together, so as to be able to get in please PM me. Sorry but don't want to risk going without the original named ticket holder present so not interested in tickets being sold. Can cover cost of tickets and throw in a beer or two plus tickets for Saturday morning. Sorted ..... there really are some top boys and girls out there
