First of all, let me congratulate you guys on the Syria Fundraiser! You did / are doing amazing job with it and I hope this little project I started doesn't come across wrong. It was just that I got so influenced by the stories and photos of friends of mine that were volunteering in camps in and around Croatia, I had to do more than donate clothes, food, blankets, etc. Also, what they need here is quick and direct help so I wanted to do most things myself and cut out the middle people. So, without further ado: I just wanted to take a moment of your time and invite you to check out this new project I started with lots of help by other like minded people in the community - solidARTy.orgThe idea is to auction artworks donated by artists and collectors and raise funds to help volunteer organizations that are helping with the refugee crisis. The auctions start this Monday with great rare editions, paintings, drawings, etc, donated mostly by artists themselves. The response from the art community was overwhelming and we already have great donations by such names as Isaac Cordal, Ernest Zacharevic, Lucas Price, Eiko Borcherding, Marco Wagner, Icy & Sot, Ella & Pitr, Rustam Qbic, Sepe, Candice Tripp, Escif, Pez, Pastel, Marco Mazzoni, Huskmitnavn, etc, with more getting on board as we speak! Please have a look and read more info @ solidARTy.org, and feel free to bid, donate, spread the word, share, repost or help in any other way you feel suitable. Thank you, Sasha aka saL

They are not a full on NGO or anything cause the process of registering those here is too long. They are just an initiative, a group of people that organized among each other and started helping guerrilla style. Their recent success is working out a helping point in no mans land between Croatia and Slovenia yesterday where 1000s of people were stuck without anyone to take any care of them (due to legal limitations).

Agent Prov linked me too it showing me his Channel Tunnel Piece which is excellent Great job on raising funds Thanks for the kind words, but I've been humbled with the response of the artists to this effort! It really wouldn't work with their generous donations that keep coming in. AP's piece looks really quality I agree (and thats coming from someone that is not a fan of stencils).

I registered, and have placed numerous bids. It's wonderful to help others in need, and at the same time (and this is probably pretty selfish to admit), much of the art that was donated is just crazy good. I simply can't believe that more collectors aren't talking about this. You get to contribute to a good cause AND take part in auctions for art donated by artists that many of us admire and covet. Two of my favorite things to do.

Two of my favorite things to do. Yeah, that was the idea - I figured I know enough people that together can make a difference so I started putting this together. The response from the artists have been amazing so far with more amazing works and great names being added very soon. Im guessing people are keeping quiet cause they hope for a bargain, but the real action is about to start when the auctions come close to an end. The first 3 are ending tonight, so that will be interesting to watch. Btw, the system registered only one of your bids, so you might check the other ones you placed cause they didn't come through.

Cool beans. Just won the piece by Pez. Congrats dude! I was hoping for a last minute bid fight, but lucky for you that didn't happen. I'll be sending you the invoice with total amount as soon as I hear back from Pez. Thanks for your support and contribution!

Sal - Are you going to relist items that don't sell? I might yeah, but don't think they will be at lower price cause they are all listed the lowest that artist donating them agreed on.
