johnnyh The fact youre using that photo tells a lot about you and your actions. It was people like the ones in that photo that we're all trying to help - mother sleeping on the side of the Serbian highway in October with her 3 kids! And you dare using that photo without photographers authorisation cause you received a piece of art with bent corners?! And write under that that you wanna help so other people dont "suffer the same as you"! Mate, SERIOUSLY?! Remove that photo! You dont know those people's story and its disgusting using it for what you are. How about you post a photo of the whole piece here so we see that "damage" in total? Borondo is all up for replacing this if you arent happy but Im the one that doesnt want to pay for it. Please understand that and stop spreading lies. Artist told you the piece is in this condition cause it was part of the exhibition. Member at uaa offered you financial consolidation for your pain. Member here offered to buy a piece from you at your cost including postage, and you still dont see it?! I'll be in London in July so if you want Ill come by your place with a small hammer and bring this piece in the same or better condition than your replacement would be. Ill even cover the cost of 2 plywoods you already bought to ship it back. Would that be ok? What is it exactly that you want now? I told you multiple times Im really sorry about all this, about the fact you werent happy and about the way it was presented and than communicated. But it was all done with the best intentions from everyone. Please understand that and stop this as its disgusting reading such things over a charity auction donation.

I'm trying to bite my tongue but this is so wrong. It's a charity johnnyh you are calling rip off's on Instagram, that isn't right. You have been given a load of options as a solution. Member here has offered to buy it off you. Member on UAA has offered you €150 to do as you like. Or get it flattened as fed stated here. Do the right thing and remove the Instagram posts and photo's that Sal has requested.

So your saying that a collector cannot complain about receiving a damaged piece on the Forum Also I did not introduce the topic to the forum he did. I have quoted my post offer and the pics Surely the artist and the seller and this was sold it was not a donation at €600 it was a purchase. I also had emails with Sal before the bid he assured me it was a top quality purchase I offered a way out eg do a sketch or something Turned down he made commitments then did not do. He then says met with the artist. Why not just get him to do something. It is incorrect to close this thread. He mentioned first. I am responding and reminding other buyers. I have not mentioned the charity elements on here only the purchase. As per photos damage is obvious. This piece was damaged on takedown and storage for the6 months I had to wait. Not in the forsale picture. He did not mention damage last month let alone last year So you were trying to hunt for a bargain rather than being generous for a great cause, is that what you're saying ? Some far more generous member than you here offered to sort you out by buying back the artworks from you so what are you even still complaining about ? Sell it to him and move on ;-) Peace

It's about the damaged piece but worse it's about all the lies from the artist & Sal. It's in the emails. This has been going on for 7 months. I never mentioned any of it public at all till after an ingnorant lying call from Sal. No member of UAA has offered me anything. More Sal lies. Not that I want a UAA members money. People buying off Sal site should know what their in for. Likewise people should know that Borondo does not give a shit. This damage was not done hanging up. It's not as they have claimed artist condition. It has been treated badly and stored poorly probably in the 6 months they had it before they sent it. If you buy a piece of art from a show or installation it should not arrive damaged. A lot say charity auction I accepted that as per my earlier post and email to them. All I asked for was a little something he had or a sketch etc that he had kicking around to compensate a bit for the damage. I would pay for the postage. All would have been over and never mentioned again. They said no. Sal spoke to them and they agreed to change he said he would pay for the postage. That was agreed in May. He then says mine is in perfect condition and he will not do it. So sorry it is very poor from both of them so I am telling people.I have no sympathy for Sal or Borondo. Nice offer from the member to buy it but do not see why he should have a shit deal on a damaged piece either.

Someone very generous on UAA called dismalandbland said 'I have 150euros that I am happy to donate. You (the buyer) decide the split between you and the charity. 50 / 50? You take the lot? You decide. I'll do whatever you want' on the condition you removed your derogatory comments made on Instagram. Also a member here has offered to buy the piece from you at your cost. If this was purchased from a gallery, I think you would have more of a claim. But this was a charity fundraiser and sal or the charity should not be tarnished in this way. From what I understand, sal offered out if his own pocket to pay for postage to replace the piece with another from Borondo. Since this offer, he realised the replacement piece is also not 'mint' condition, so potentially a waste of time. In hindsight, Borondo should have originally stated to sal the condition of the piece, so it could have been listed as such. Maybe the way you have asked for another sketch or piece of work as compensation has got his back up, I dunno. But what I do know, from reading others comments here and Instagram is that others have the same opinion, sal and the charity have been wrongly tarnished. If I had the spare cash, I would gladly take it off your hands and get it flattened. Do the right thing, remove all the negative stuff, sell it or keep it and move on.

Pretty sure unless missed something they are not someone on my IGram as not seen what your saying at all. Neither Borondo the artist who sent the damaged work or Sal who made a commitment and then withdrew it. Have been wrongly tarnished. They between the created and had easy solutions to solve it and should not have sent work in this condition.

The point you are so ungraciously missing is your damaging the charity. Stop this now. I am not damaging the charity. I am just telling my experience of using it, the condition of the goods received, the lies told by the artist and by Sal This has taken 7 months. Received damaged promises made which I accepted then withdrawn at the last minute!! It is Borondo & Sal who have created the damage I am just saying what happened

You made your point, it has been fully aired, you've continued to make your point once solutions have been brought forward, you've continued to complain. Enough already.

Mate I do not need your permission to complain or reply and respond to points made by members. You seem to want to complain about me without considering the mistreatment by Sal making a commitment then pulling out. Or Borondo for sending out a damaged piece. Plus I did not bring this issue to the Forum Sal did.

Hello everyone! In the wake of horrible news coming from Syria I've decided to do another run of charity art sales via solidarty.org! This time we wont run any auction, just got ol fashioned sales @ fixed price. Once again the response from the art community was overwhelming, so along with offering most of the works that didn't sell previously, we'll offer originals and rare editions by such great artists as Taylor Mckimens, Paul Insect, Nicola Verlato, Klone, Belin, Joakim Ojanen, Femke Hiemstra, Carl Cashman, Franco Fasoli, Ian Francis, Pryce Lee, DotDotDot, Jeff Gillette, Aryz, Nunca etc. Here is a sneak peek at some of the new donations: That said, please register @ solidarty.org as we'll be announcing the date and time of the sales going live via our newsletter. Also, keep an eye on our activity via Instagram and Facebook. As before, 100% of all sales will go to AreYouSyrious as well as DoctorsWithoutBorders.org. Thank you for the interest and please feel free to spread the word any way you can!
