Thanks for the nice close-up pics.
I drew a load of "I (heart) Cats" mugs for my local hospice's summer fete (they didn't want them). I found that after about the 99th mug, the quality control starts to alter a bit.
If the Banksy mugs are hand-drawn* by kids (and I don't see why they wouldn't be? Especially if he owns them), some lucky people are going to get some truly magical art beverage vessels.
*Or initially designed by kids and then reproduced?

I've not seen it mentioned anywhere but there appears to be a picture missing? Only noticeable by night...  Is the spotlight for where the fallen snake/frame piece would've been hanging on the wall? |

I don't know who Banksy gets to make his models but that little truck is sublimely made/painted. I went all Sister Wendy over it when I first saw it.

It's heartbreaking to look at the tiny faces on those wooden figures. They all look sad and concerned, except for the baby, who's smiling serenely, probably because they are naïve to the world and have no idea just how fucking precarious the art market can be.

If I should be fortunate enough to be able to purchase an official Banksy mug, I shall place it inside a Perspex box, and give it pride of place in my living room, possibly on the floor, in the centre of the room, with all chairs, couch and the other furniture turned to face it. When I receive visitors, I shall say to them 'Yes, you are right to stare, that is a genuine Banksy mug', and they shall say 'Can I just read the meter and go?', and I shall say 'Have I mentioned I am Vegan?', and they shall say 'Several times now. You even wrote it down. Can I just go please?', and I shall say 'I've made muffins'. I don't think we've been talking enough about the screwed-up Morrisey poster. has there been a photo of the Morrisey poster? maybe I missed it just realized Dumbo is in there too |

I mean, we're assuming that Morrisey is *that* Morrissey. I don't want to fall into that trap of overanalysing the art but, there are probably a few people out there with the name Morrisey. Banksy could be tricking us? Does anyone know whether Morrissey is the type of person to get upset easily?
Edit: Weird thought. If you acquire one of those screwed-up Morrisey posters, and you unscrunch it to take a look at it, are you damaging it? I mean, you can't get it back to its exact originally scrunched condition. I may be overthinking this.

They just have piles of clothes. If the chandeliers *are* for sale, they'll be firmly aimed at the Rihannas and the Jayzees of the world. People that have the high ceilings and bank balances to pull it off. |

He cutted two dumbo prints to make that tryptich. The sun is a great addition to the original prints, really like it! Probably not for sale to normal people...
Are the cushions an edition we can maybe buy too or are they just for decoration in there?
Regarding the snake frame i bet it was a combination of lsd and watching Indiana Jones. The connection to the art market was made the next day when he came down.
