I hope your friends (and wish everyone) are ok delloy. My friend's parents were caught in the Haiti quake. Just the communication and logistical delays are huge. Takes so long for word to reach loved ones, etc. |

Yeah, I saw that. Nice to see intelligent people taking the piss out of that statement online. In a week when civilians are being bombed, refugees are drowning and people are (at this very moment) dying as a result of an earthquake, statements that even remotely try to make out that an abdication is some sort of crisis for a country, is offensive, laughable and very fucking insane. The right-wing press are going proper mental though in the run-up to the election. More mental than usual. The Daily Mail has become a parody of itself. Let's forget about the politics of this country for a minute (it's getting on my tits!) and help out the poor people of Nepal. I've set up a thread below this to hopefully raise some money. I must say I'm pretty disheartened with the response thus far, posted yesterday morning had one donation from feralthings and 3 likes. When I see threads here with not much content, intelligent commenting or discussion getting regularly posted/commented upon and this receiving just one comment it saddens me a little....rant over.  Edit: Apologies for ranting a bit earlier, had a bee under me bonnet  The thread has now moved here: notbanksyforum.com/thread/341/nepal-earthquake-relief-charity-auctionI agree with you on the uk election coverage being a ball ache. Worth highlighting though that Nepal received over £500 million in 'foreign aid' last year. If Farage has his way the UK will be contributing zero to that total next year, and zero to any other country try in need and people should be aware of that. Your thread delloy is an inspirational one, and one that will grow. If I can find anything, that's not too embarrassing, to include - I will. If not I will donate to the charity that will be benefitting from your auction. Thank you for going out of your way to do this. |

seemingly the only argument I hear for voting Tory is that Labour cant be trusted with the economy, two things:
