Nope, it's because we're happy to bomb countries but do fuck all about the consequences and human suffering #votecameron Was not saying what I think just saying what part of the problem is that these people are in Limbo. They come from all over not particularly Syriaand not sure UK bombing has much to do with this problem. Eg about a million Syrian migrants to Europe before bombing started. The civil war there is not of the UK's making. Iraq did not start Syria's problemsSimilarly the EU is taking action against the entry nations for the Syrians for not processing at point of entry but allows France to do the same. likewise for the reasons made previously the UK will not process them either. This has been going on since the mid early nineties. Um.

Its not as simple as that JH as you well know. What we have going on now in the middle east is the result - directly or indirectly, conscious or unconscious - of western meddling and gerrymandering of the region. Sykes -Picot was not designed to benefit anyone apart from the great powers.

Sykes -Picot was not designed to benefit anyone apart from the great powers. Sykes-picot has nothing to do with the Arab Spring and Calais. How far do you want to go back? The Crusades let's blame that !! The Arab Spring as it was called had nothing to do with the west and I am it standing up for the west bush or Blair etc. but the two really are seperate issues. Tunisia and Egypt which were the spring board had no real western involvement at all The west are responsible for the growth of ISIS but not its existence but ISIS became involved in Syria well after the civil war had started

You tried Aza. I hope there's more to see in Bruges. Bruges was beautiful and definitely recommended! If I'd had a screw driver I could have simply taken off the wood for a photo. It's down a quiet and empty street and is not actually protected and safe from anyone with a small tool!

Calais people are quiet and cool ( and some, more aged dont care a bit about art, 40% are unemployed, their is the ferry crisis, the camps to organise, etc .. ) They would not touch it ( have you been to see the Steve Jobs ? ) ... I don't know if they will leave the $ or not ( or clean them ? The boat was a bit damaged too ) .. Kisses to both of you. !

The west. It was them and their armies and secret police etc FEAR kept them in power not the west.
Yes the west did deals with them etc but whatever their politics good or bad deals get done. So it's irrelevant their power is within their borders and it's control and fear. The ones following them use the same or similar or worse it's how that region works hence the problems. ISIS control and fear, Egypt whoever it is control and fear.[
There are only a couple of countries with sound rulers.... They do deals with the west as well.

I reckon if they all tidied the place up and made a bit of a garden at the camp they would feel better, plant some flowers maybe. It is muddy there presently but they could plant now for next Spring.

Little garden areas would cheer them all up Im sure.

On the way back from Bruges to Dunkirk I told my wife it was a short detour to Calais It was a bit of a longer detour though, so I didn't have time to check out the other ones, along with having the family mad at me

Anyway you have seen à Nice and rare wood board ( the first Time in France ! Yes Thats a première ! )how French workers are making great job ( erm ) ! I imagine also your face swung this board , ahahah a !! And to complete , the countryside from Bruxelles, Lille to Calais is awful ! And so grey and sad.. No grass there , only mud and abandoned fabrics, places, shops or factories.. Depressed... Yes north of France is special , that's why they drink a lot of beers over there

It was all worth it for Bruges though Yes Bruges is splendid ! I ve never been but I saw postcards. I know Bruxelles or Anvers , then Amsterdam( ahaha weed ) , Woorburg, and Den Hagen and I had a grilfriend ( not " the girl with the earpiercing " ) there - I like girls from the north why ? I dont know ) . It was the daughter of the commandant, the big boss of the casern, or military camp of Den Haag and I have been to see there often when I was 17, 18 ( I played guitar in a concert too with my Deutsch mates ) , but do you know what ? I never slept with her ! Just some little kisses without the tongue on the mouth. I was in a room apart, lol the father was there, with the Deutcsch army behind him, ready to shot me ! Lol ! Pan ! Anyway You should come to Strasbourg too, the European capitale of choucroute ! It is a beautiful town. An d there is wine. To come back on what Lonelyfarmer said, yes that 's right, it will be better with more grass. It always rain in Calais, that's why there is a lot of mud, and areas near motorways ( camps have to be close to water and electricity, and the town too ) are always like that. The problem is not new anyway ! All the Gypsies camps are, since decades in abandonned camps or rubbish places nad nobody thinks to them ( apart me, I have some blood lol ) .. And they are not 6000. Well, the never put camps in the center of the towns, Central Park, Hyde Park or under la Tour Eiffel, it s like that and waht can we do ? ... I think there is so many poor people ( even in flats or appartments, without heat but with bills ) , that we cannot be everywhere to help everybody. Why not create so associations, giving them caravans ( B. likes caravans no ? ) , etc etc... Well, I see that I wrote a short comment again, I will stop , its enough I guess... Cheers !
