It reminds me of Double Dragon but with Bruce Lee. Anyone else remember double dragon? Two ten pence pieces to play Or load it from cassette (haha what's a cassette?!?). Let's all tiptoe around it and hope it loads this time. Fuck it let's try chase hq.

The prints are priced at $6800 (scooter, edition of 88) and $8800 (Bruce Lee and explosion, each an edition of 50). Hong Kong Dollars So I make that £580 and £750 This print is the definition of middle aged man reliving their childhood, quite honestly I'd rather have a photo of the past than something this insipid.

The development of pixels in our lives marked the progression into an increasingly digital age. It's not just about the past, it says something about our cultural and technological evolution and I think a lot of people can identify with that.

Well you can - I'd say this show and others display invaders nostalgia for the past rather than mans progression (do like your bold and unbelievable assertation though) .... You see what I like about invaders classic works is the connection to getting up and invading street space it was smart and then became an obsession ... This is just meh and money, money and meh. That's just me though.

I think finance is clearly playing a role, and I believe this is less than subtly conveyed in the quite prolific use of money symbolism. Check out all the money bags and dollar signs ... just coincidence?

You might want to review that again as not sure I would class HOCA as the needy I'm afraid. Also not sure that the profits from the show even go to them. HOCA is not involved in th. Sales of the pieces or the prints which is why earlier Ai assumed there were to be no sales at the show where as want they meant was selling stuff was nothing to do with them so where the profits end up I am not sure.

I agree, there does seem to be some lack of clarity over this matter. If it is our business or not I'm not sure. But if you were a buyer then I think it would be important to know.

To be fair having been there it's in a really nice spot. Using some space up stairs that say is not rented. Little pop up shop that is being run by a little local neat shop. He is selling these other stickers for 5hk$ to help the homeless. Outside is at courtyard with loads of French foods and cafe bars promoting France through the trade council. So it is quite a nice vibe so probably a real mixture etc
The pop up shop is we'll away from the show and there is no indication of sales at the show other than the charity sticker machines

Thank you johnnyh for the insights. It's nice to hear a description straight from the horses mouth. Is there any chance you could get a couple of us on here a sticker pack if you have any plans to go back there?

Wouldn't it be nice if he expanded on his work instead of being stale.

Well it looks pretty much together and is very nicely put together. I am not a massive Invader person so wrong for me to say that much as do not have the greatest understanding of his work. Must say I enjoyed it.
Not sure HKong is the place for a major development of his work. Eg he is not big here and not that popular. Eg yesterday was first open day of show and just a handful of people there. When the pop up shop opened at 11 there was 10 people there.
So a hell of a lot of work and effort for a small audience. Also in a big space which is very unusual for Hong Kong
Struck me a more an explanation of the concept and his work.must say I really really enjoyed it

Thanks again johnnyh for the great pics. Can I ask, was there any sound to accompany these LED displays?
