Really sad news to awake to this morning, the guy was an absolute genius and a British icon of the highest calibre and will be sorely missed.
My lip has quivered several times today as his music has been played throughout the day. Sad indeed.

Coming from Germany and having spent time in Berlin he will be missed. I think he means a lot to my fellow citizens for being such an important figure for Berlin. I saw him live a couple of times, most memorable one was at an Open Air in 1990 ( together with Midnight Oil and the Pixies ) have you seen Christiane F? great movie and the soundtrack features Heroes partly sung in German. when I was in Berlin my friend was happy to point out landmarks from the film That film kept me firmly off heavy shit stuff

dodcoquelicot fantastic picture and fantastic memories. Great little story. thank you my friend.. Yes my beau is not already frizzed, after this real tempest ( I still don't know how Bowie could wear only a kimono during this inight, the worth and icy night ever ... Terrible. This kind of nights leaves you a lot of memories I guess.. And all was spontaneous ... Just read or heard about this Première, two hours ago, at the job, and I already jumped into the tube after it ! We can be heroes just for one night :-) Thank you my friend. Brrrrr... I am still cold, waiting in the pavement .. I wonder how can I do that ... On IG Buckwurst proposed me to make a print if this delicious photo, I think I will ask a photographer to make some A5 B/w sizes.. ( if it s not too much expensive ) I will see...

Mascara still well and truly smudged ..... so many fond memories with family and friends while listening to Bowie. Just last week I was singing along with my 3 and 5 year old nephews to Laughing Gnome in the car and I remember this song from when I was 3. An absolute creative genius right up to the end .....completely mind blowing and will be greatly missed. So long Mr Jones thanks for being Bowie you made a spectacularly wonderful job of it.

I blame that inbred cretin Diana for this current public grief malaise that seems to infest the nation. When HRH the Queen pops her well fed inherited robber baron clogs, the place is going to be a nightmare for me. I may have to leave for a year.

I blame that inbred cretin Diana for this current public grief malaise that seems to infest the nation. When HRH the Queen pops her well fed inherited robber baron clogs, the place is going to be a nightmare for me. I may have to leave for a year. When the Queen dies, London dies with her. Drowned under a sea of tears, teddy bears, flags and flowers. You won't be able to move for Sun reporters and people wearing clothing made out of the union flag. Oldies will regale those desperately trying to escape London with tales of how they met the Queen when they were 6 and she was lovely. Extra planes will be laid on by every airline. Boats will also be used to fly in all the tourists that will want to come and purchase flowers to lay at the pile of soggy flowers that used to be London. Florists will become the new super rich. Helicopters will be hired by both the wealthy and the poor to fly over the city, the only way to be able to get near the grief epicentre, so they can lay their flowers properly. Parliament will rush through new laws, ensuring deportation to the colonies for anyone that doesn't grieve properly. With the country now weak from the loss of its Queen, the army will be on full alert, guarding the pile of flowers and the ever vital egg chamber. There will be newspapers full of images of the Queen. Mainly smiling images and perhaps a few of the sexy ones from when she was younger. Special pull-out souvenir issues will finish off the rainforests. There will be no trees left, but we won't care because we will all look to Harry, William and George. What are they wearing. And there will be plates.

At least Charles will be at the helm steering at steady ship through the sea of tears, with Camilla at his side, occasionally checking the radar.
