Have I mentioned yet how downright euphoric I am to see a working 'New' button? I have been ranting about that for so long on the other board I am surprised it hasn't yet earned me my walking papers over there.

I agree I think we should change it to something that compasses more than banksy but the entire urban genre in general I think ' Not Banksy' forum might have stuck but if we are after an alternative name how about ' Stendhal Art Forum'? To paraphrase from Wikipedia, 'Stendhal Syndrome' is a medical condition where people experience rapid heartbeat, dizziness, fainting, confusion and hallucinations when exposed to an experience of great personal significance, particularly viewing art. Here's some more from Wikipedia: When [Stendhal] visited the Basilica of Santa Croce, where Niccolò Machiavelli, Michelangelo and Galileo Galilei are buried, he saw Giotto's frescoes for the first time and was overcome with emotion. He wrote:

We can change the 'viewable' name on the banner mate, but the registered name on proboards cannot be changed from what I understand. Not sure if this is easy to do? Have a feeling a new forum would need setting up? Saying that, sɐǝpı ɟo uoıʇɐɹǝpǝɟ has managed to get a .com address which in effect masks the proboards sub domain so might be possible to buy another top level domain name which links to here without seeing the "notbanksy" bit? elvis is it possible to change the display name whilst keeping the sub domain name, if so, the above would work without everyone having to move. Edit: would be happy to pay for the domain too rather than fed having to fork out again |
