Hey, I'm yet another escapee from the other forum (where I'm also bme). I've been interested in the street art / graff scene since about 2004, but have been getting into some of the old school NYC stuff of late - Iz the Wiz, Seen etc. I live in Melbourne, so looking forward to hearing about what's going on in the rest of the world!

Hey, thanks for the welcome fg. I picked up a signed copy of the subway art book a few months ago. Just love it. Have managed to buy a (very) small Iz canvas as well - one of those that was for sale at dirty pilot... Love the rawness of the early NYC stuff. No bullshit and no industry hype (initially at any rate). Hey, I'm yet another escapee from the other forum (where I'm also bme). Hello all, the name's Robin. Did a lot of graff in my university art days (over 10 years ago) and then went to work abroad in the real world (art degree is obviously the best degree in the world to have). Long time collector and love supporting upcoming artists with commissions but also love acquiring some of the bigger names (when I can afford it). Actually been after a decent Sepia Morons for an eon. Seems a great community and I'm glad to be a part of it. oh and I'm from the UK, but my lady is from Oz, so will most likely be moving there in the future

No bullshit and no industry hype (initially at any rate). welcome mate, have you got the Subway Art book? For years now I have been meaning to find out a bit more about the pictures of the subway cars. I first saw them in LA at the MOCA I think for the Art in the streets show, (which I went to by accident ), and remember being hypnotised by the photos of all these subway cars that had been dubbed the shit out of. Everynow and then I remember that day and think to myself I must look it up more or ask on the forums about it, but it always just slips my mind, then this pops up so I googled the subway art book and the Martha cooper one popped up and that's what I was looking at in LA. Gonna grab a copy, what's the best one to go for ? I like the cover of the original 1984 version but is the 25th anniversary edition that much better? Any signed ones about?? Sorry to hijack the introduce yourself thread but really excited about this!

Very excited that you will be sharing your knowledge with us. Your insights have always been welcome, and you have helped me on numerous occasions when I needed/wanted information about an artist or exhibition that was under the radar and no one else seemed to be in the know.

Hi. Newbee Donkey in the place. Nice to be here, love art since 6-7 years. Street art in particularity, but love go see teachers of modern guys in museum. I try to draw, I do some "gribouilli" exactly. I try argentic photo more than draw things. If someone ask, I can show you my shit on tumblr. Durty, dark, strange, simple, things. Sorry for my English, I try it too. it will be better month after month cause just arrive in NZ for few months. Matgab.
