Send me an email fellas. clay.rochemont@hxfour.com Lots of interest in both Insect and McGee some kicking tires, some real interest. To be clear I'm looking for market value on both. Artsy has auction results for McGee, and you can call Ratio 3, Roberts and Tilton, Cheim and Read or Pure Evil gallery (who have had their works for years) to gain a sense of McGee's current Market before making an offer or asking price. My McGee has all the markings one looks for, it's a found piece of paper, it's McGee red, and has the character. Its also cheaper than any solo piece I've seen on the market For Insect - Allouche gallery has a pop up this month with 3 of his works on canvas. Galerie Feuvre had some >18" abstract works on wood last year as well and some are likely still avail. That will begin to give you a sense of his market before asking me what I want or making comments about the price. This insect is in the style that made him famous, it's what you look for in a signature Paul Insect. Great color, a character, and his signature hand painted spots. It's a lot cheaper than his canvases because it's a work in paper however it is a bit more expensive than the wood pieces at Feuvre because of its size and the body of work. Cheers!

Thanks for clearing that up.
I have a price in mind but you will have to call old Doris as we had a really meaningful conversation about art while at the bus stop. Also it might be worth having a chat with Phil the pill at the Five Bells pub because he has got a nephew, who's best mate saw one on eBay a couple weeks ago.

Too complicated for me, they're only pictures after all.

I reply with the price, then the conversation goes dark. The point is, do your own research in the artists markets before asking me and you won't be disappointed. I didn't say to call anyone not reputable, they all represent the artists on paper, are not secondary galleries and all have works avail. What's the problem with that?

Just seems like you gone to an awful lot of trouble to not post a price. It seems like you know that you are asking piss-take prices and are too ashamed to post what you are asking, and are trying to justify said piss take pricing using galleries for comparison.
Notice I said seems.

Still, don't understand why you cannot give an indication of the price range you are looking at. You obviously know what the market rate is but insist on buyers going to find out before approaching you. Is the insect market a seller's market these days?

My advice to anyone buying a work of art from anywhere is to research the market you're about to enter. The more you know the better off you are. If someone is serious about buying, simply send me an email and ask the price. I'll tell you, like I've told about 35 others.
I just don't want to post publicly for many reasons. respect it, I owe nothing to anyone.

Notice I said seems. Haha. I love the attack. Looks like another forum, except that other forum has said nothing about it all except that the works are nice.

Maybe another forum is a better place to post cryptic ads.

If the seller wants to keep the price for pms only then that's their decision , it does seem more hard work that way but that's up to them.
