please provide some context. i'm so confused I think the context is in the twats link. oops didn't realize that was a link. i'm a dummy personally think money talk re: Banksy is ridiculous and I hope the man is laughing at people paying $$$$$ for a stencil it takes him 5 seconds to do. jokes on them. at least i hope these people do realize he is anti-capitalism, pro-anarchy, and is basically doing to art what the early punks did to the music biz, right? are they really that blinded by the color green?

Bonkers!! i definitely have a love/hate relationship with this Banksy fella Yeah same here...t's all about the $$ for him now and go to laugh as he's got lawyers blocking a CSI type investigation to find out who he is? I can see the rise in prices continuing though as dabbling in shares and bonds is risky. if you have say 100k in the bank you only make 2k profit per year with current interest rates. Then the government will take tax from your profit also so you make 1.5k. So you can see why people put their money into art, vintage cars, wine etc... The returns are way higher..

So did he paint, get a quick snap, then break out his screwdriver? for fucks sake

just to ad - Warhol's best marketing idea was himself as well. doesn't mean his work wasn't great, but when does the artist become the brand and vice/versa?

Okay Fed- I grant you that. The works do look similar... But I am still doubtful... Why you ask? Because the Chiapas work is NOT signed (banksy stencil), and from it being done with brush rather than spray cans... But I have been known to be wrong before.
Carry on...

Carry on... the murals weren't signed, but the stencil pieces he did on the same trip where. who the fuck knows. that book left me with more questions than answers
