Ink'd is closing down, Laurence who owns art republic, his daughter owns and runs the gallery,it was sort of sister to art republic, correct me if I'm wrong but that's the impression I got.
It was a great gallery, actually one of only a handful, I really trusted. Their prices were transparent and worked great with artists from what I saw.
Only thing that stopped this gallery becoming a success imo was the space as it was very small.
Here is the message
It is with a very heavy heart that we write to you, our loyal and interested customers, to let you know of the planned closure of ink_d after ten years of trading.
Closure date: 29th May 2016 In the last decade the gallery has tirelessly curated over 90 exhibitions and we have always taken pride in the fact that the artists we have chosen to represent live and love their materials and subjects. We are glad to have been able to support both established artists as well as helping those at the beginning of their careers.
Unfortunately changes on the high street and in the art market have made it increasingly difficult to survive and it has been decided that ink_d leave the party now and end on a high.
We hope that you will continue to support those artists that we have had the privilege to work alongside with for the last ten years and the up and coming talent that is out there.
