Totally genuine question - did he paint them? To be honest, I don't know. I had heard the rumour was started when he fell out with Sweet Toof. I do like the art though. |

I have no problem with an artist commissioning work for all the obvious reasons but I need to know about it. I cannot imagine he hasn't heard that people suspect he is not th hand behind these works. I feel a lack of a statement denying it is, well, worrying. |

Funny thing is I can't even find the accusations anywhere (easily) on the web - will admit I didn't spend hours. At the same time the only response I've even seen from LP to the accusation is a 'crying with laughter' emoji on IG when someone mentioned it.

Having seen some of his earlier works, and his "photo-realism" ones... Makes me conclude that he could not have achieved the skills necessary to paint near-photo quality art... FWIW, here are some of his 2009 buttons... Notice the imperfect 69 on the white button. It also appears to have been re-stretched.  Where there is smoke, there is fire... Carry on... |
