Right I know this sort of question has been asked a million times but I'm struggling to find a temporary solution. Normally I frame all my prints, but I'm due to pick up an expensive print next week and it's 100cm long and won't fit in my folder. I need to be able to collect the print I'm my car and store it for a couple of weeks until I can get it to MFM and I obviously want to keep it flat. What am I best off doing. Thanks.

Not really, he's a good 2 hour drive away and think he's closed at weekends too. Plus I'd still have the problem of picking it up, as I need keep it flat and protected in the back of my car (with seats down)

You'd think it'd be easier to find a storage sleeve/folder or something :-(

I use jumbo mount boards to store prints and also to take prints to the framers. This is where I bought mine www.diyframing.com/store_viewItem.cfm?ItemID=518They are 1120x815, but they have a minimum order of 5. If you don't want to spend that much, just get some ply cut from your local hardware shop. Use a minimum 4mm or it can warp very easily if thinner. You would also need some glassine paper though to protect the print from the bare wood.

I have a stash from the show we did in NYC I could send over but assume with the shipping cost, it'd be cheaper to find a local distributor You could also try aswexpress.com or Dick Blick and see if they have a UK supplier

Another idea - string a piece of rope to some nails on a wall and hang the print using clothespins (put felt on the inside to protect the paper)

Thanks for the help guys, I've just emailed a local framer to see if I can get 2 pieces of thick mount board cut to the size I want. That might be the way forward, then lay this on some ply.

Use plenty of tissue to prevent marking the print. Wrap in acid free & tape to appropriate sized board is another solution. MDF has certain nasties in it so make sure to use the Acid free.
